There are people all over America who don’t acknowledge their freedoms that our ancestors fought for. By the dictionary’s definition of freedom, it means, “The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” To me, freedom means much more than this. Freedom is my way of life. It’s the only thing I’ve ever lived by. Many people who live in America today take their freedom for granted, which is terrible. I think we should cherish our freedoms and rights. If our war veterans hadn’t fought not only for our country, but our freedom, then we probably wouldn’t have either. A person could argue that freedom creates its own problems and that people are at times abusive of these. However, we live in a country that has these freedoms so valued, it can be found in our national anthem. While there may be always abuses made upon it, we can only hope that the United States will always continue to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. Understanding the importance of freedom and why we have to continually fight for it, is to look at all the ways it has been fought for.

We don 't typically stop to think about our freedom, it is something most of us are guilty of taking for granted. Even when our freedom is brought to our attention, it is only a brief thought quickly pushed to the back of our minds. Most of us are too focused on our own hardships and shortcomings. However, there are a select few who have come to the realization that this freedom is a highly valued prize. These are the people that fight our battles for us because they value the safe haven that our country is.
When people hear freedom they think of lots of things. When I hear the word freedom I think of all the people that have fought for freedom. Martin Luther was a big part of winning freedom for so many people. Today the people who fight for our freedom are the soldiers and anyone who has ever been a soldier like the veterans. Freedom is something that I would not want to live without.
Freedom lives and breathes in everything we as Americans do. The freedom we have today reminds me of where freedom does not exist yet. There are many countries where the citizens have heard about our freedom, but cannot experience it for themselves. We can only hope for those people right now, and dream of a world that’s free.
Freedom is the ability to love whomever we want, It is when you give without expecting a favor, It is the power to forgive when you've been mistaken, it is the capability to do right without being proud of it. To me Freedom is America, Freedom is the 13 horizontal stripes and the 50 stars waving in the wind, and finally Freedom is for everyone to be equal, yet different in his or her own way. The first time I ever experienced freedom was when I came to America. Sometimes freedom ain 't really for all, you still have to follow all rules, and obey your parents. The word *Freedom* means to me is that you may have the right to do what you think is right, and you don’t really have to be one of those people out there that have no right. Even if you don’t have any right you can always dream, and experienced from the people around you, and your friends. When people always tell me what’s right, or wrong, that annoys me.

That is so important, to be able to follow what you believe in, you have to be willing to fight for it. If you aren't willing to fight for something, it's probably not that important to you. Abraham Lincoln said it perfectly, if you don't allow freedom you should not be allowed to have it either. Abe Lincoln contributed in a major part of freedom in America. He began the process of freeing the slaves in the 1860’s. Freedom is a major topic in our country. We should be grateful for all of what the veterans of all of the wars did for us
Freedom to me is being able to walk down the street drinking some coffee out of a “plastic” cup, throw it in the trash and not have someone yell at me to recycle it! Now be prepared for “boring nation” cause i'm fixing because i'm fixing to bore you with LOTS of examples. Freedom to me! Being able to wake up in the morning and not have someone yelling at me, telling me what I have to wear, how to wear it and how to fix my hair. Being able to go into public and say what i want to say.
What is freedom? Is it an absolute right or is it something we can live without it? People born to be free. Throughout history freedom defined differently according to different cultures and different period of time. Freedom shows an alteration cultures to culture.

Freedom is the correction to do what he/she wants, live life, and eat what he/she wants. How do we live free? We live free by not judging other people’s freedom rights. Everyone has their own rights.
