While Ponyboy and Johnny were in the church, Ponyboy told Johnny about a poem he knew. The poem told about how great life can be in the beginning, and how in can crash in a blink. In Johnny’s letter, he told Ponyboy that bad times will come, so he shouldn’t stress over him dying. He told him it was worth it, when he saved all those kids.
