Ötzi The Iceman was found 1991 by two hikers in the Austrian Alps. First police thought it was a lost hiker that died by freezing to death but then multiple tools from the copper age were found near the body and then scientists knew that this man came from the copper age. They Named him Ötzi the Iceman. Ever since he was found, scientist and geologist try to find out the murder case, why Ötzi The Iceman killed? I believe that he was unwillingly sacrificed because, the Bruises on his body indicate that he was in some sort of fight or struggle, but it wasn't a flesh wound which means his murderers weren't trying to kill him, but to disable him so he won't resist toward his sacrifice. Of course there is the fatal shot to the back, but I believe that Ötzi escaped and had enough time to pack some things to survive including the copper axe (which he could have used as a weapon because his bow and arrows were broken or unfinished). Then he escaped into the mountains where he hoped to escape. …show more content…
Maby somebody of the ritualists must have followed him and shot him in the back. Because he killed Ötzcxfdi in the mountains he laid his weapons that Ötzi carried with him out and started some sort of ritual. He pulled out the arrow shaft out of his body, but the arrowhead got stuck in his shoulder shoulder. So to simulate a proper ritual sacrifice not a murder he turned Ötzis body but failed. There is also a stone carving of Ötzi’s murderer and the copper axe that Ötzi carried with him. This is indicates that the killer of Ötzi told what he did what won't lead to murder because as a murderer you want to keep the murders a secret. I found even more information that supports this theory. Like that this time of the copper age had bunch of sacrificial ceremonies and most of the sacrifices weren't there by will and that lots of sacrificial bodies were laid or buried in the mountains for the
The short story “The Cold Equations” by Tom Godwin explains sacrifice throughout the story. In the beginning, Maryland made a sacrifice to see her brother who she hasn't seen in awhile “...I haven't seen him for so long, i didn't want to wait another year when I could see him now…” when she said this she had realized that she had broken some kind of regulation.
Then we will tell you what we believe caused the death of King Tut. Evidence A One theory from that we have came up with is that Horemheb and Ay, Tutankhamun’s advisors, was the killer. The evidence is so; Horemheb helped Tut make his decisions, as Tut became older he no longer needed Horemheb. This might have caused Horemheb to no longer care for Tut, and when He
The movie Defiance, directed by Edward Zwick, is about World War 2 in Germany. Germany was not a safe place for Jews, as the Nazis were slaughtering and taking them to concentration camps. Three Jewish brothers, Tuvia, Zus, and Asael, take off to the woods trying to survive and fight against the Nazis. It started out with just the three, then more people started hearing about these boys and joined them in the battle for freedom. This is a true story of how three brothers managed to survive and save 1,200 Jews by hiding out in the forests of Eastern Europe.
In the economy we are forced to make choices of what we do with the supplies we have. We are forced to make these choices because there aren’t enough supplies to make things that everyone wants. Well just like in the economy, in life we are forced to make choices because we can’t satisfy everyone. This forces every one of us to sacrifice an opportunity to achieve the goals we have. For example, by writing this paper I am sacrificing an opportunity to watch the NFL playoffs.
A Research work on the 'Mysteries of Tutankhamun and His grave, the Egyptian Boy King' There are no surviving records of Tutankhamun's final days. What caused Tutankhamun's death has been the subject of considerable debate. Major studies have been conducted in an effort to establish the cause of death. There is some evidence, advanced by Harvard microbiologist Ralph Mitchell, that his burial may have been hurried.
One that seems to make sense is that he was assassinated by a clanmate who was jealous of his position. This is likely because of his copper axe, the arrowhead’s type and its location in his back and a large stone inside the cave which depicted the assassination. First, the Iceman’s axe was made of smelted copper which was advanced for his time, and signified that he was a man of power or position. Although a small detail, it would make sense that someone could have desired his status. In Ötzi’s time and culture, when people of authority were killed, their position would go to their killer.
Everyone has been hungry at some point in time. Hunger can drive people to do anything takes to eat even if it has consequences. Odysseus men in The Odyssey have not had food in three months. Odysseus’ men should eat the cattle that belonged to Helios, the sun god, because of the following: they were starving, the first mate said drowning was preferable to starving, and the men believe they could give a sacrifice to Helios when they got home. The men had depleted their food supply.
Being killed for love was a big thing back in mythology times. Now a person killing for love would be put in jail for murder. People in mythology times loved people and were very loyal because the gods would reward them if they were. In Homer's The Odyssey, Odysseus should have killed the suitors because of the way they were acting towards him, the love for his wife, and the loyalty that his wife had for him. First, he should have killed the suitors because of the men at they were acting toward Odysseus.
There is a lot of evidence for this theory, but, there is also a lot of evidence against; this will be explained later in this paragraph; When Otzi was found they x-rayed his body. This x-ray showed examiners of the body that he had may fractured ribs on his left side. It also showed skull breakages and a stone arrowhead in his left shoulder blade. Based on this evidence Murder was the cause of otzis death. SOURCE: https://www.pri.org/stories/2017-04-06/researchers-may-have-cracked-case-how-tzi-iceman-died.
As an attorney for the side of the prosecution, I believe the jury’s verdict to find Odysseus guilty of first-degree murder was in good taste. The evidence and arguments of the prosecution proved to be irrefutable. Contrastingly, the arguments from the defense were cracked, founded upon technicalities, and did not justify letting a killer walk free. Both sides presented their case, but the strength of both was not equal. In the end, the lack of solid reasoning from the defense and the strong delivery of the prosecution led to the guilty verdict.
A blow to the head, a wound on the hand, and an arrow to the shoulder. These 3 key evidences show that Otzi the Iceman was assassinated. X-rays show that there is an arrowhead in his shoulder. This caused a blood clot that could have helped Otzi’s death. There was also damage to the head.
Have you ever heard about Otzi the IceMan? Otzi the IceMan was a person that was alive over 5,000 years ago. Some things you learn in this essay is about some theories about what caused his death and his last meals. Some things that are interesting but will not be included are he has living relatives, and he had anatomical abnormalities. Now let’s get started.
Odysseus was, in my eyes, not justified in punishing everyone he did. Some people such as the maids where punished just for sleeping with the wooers. They didn’t deserve to be punished as harshly as they did. However, the wooers themselves got what they deserved. Odysseus won the competition set up by Penelope.
1. I think that Odysseus’ plan for escaping the Cyclops was very cunning and methodical. I think my absolute favorite part is when he told the Cyclops his name was Nohbdy because it was amazing trickery and it’s what helped the plan continue on. 2.
King Tut’s death has always been a mystery and there has been a lot of theories about it. One theory about King Tut’s death is murder. It is believed that he was murder by Aye, and/or Horemheb. According to the text, it states, “ In fact, a piece of evidence was discovered in 1931 that makes it even more difficult to prove Aye’ innocence.
