The American Revolution also known as the Revolutionary War was a big step forward for the 13 colonies. The colonies wanted their independence from Great Britain so they had to do something about it. There are many ways that this could have started and many ways that helped us beet the British. The war was a big relief for the 13 colonies because they finally had freedom from the British.
There are many ways the American Revolution started. People don’t know the main reasons why it started, but they have a good feeling on what caused it. One of the reasons was that, Britain had acquired a massive debt from the French and Indian war. They attempted to pay of the debt by taxing the colonists. I took several years for the colonists to decide to fight for their independence. The American Revolution arose from growing tension between residents of Great Britain’s 13 North American colonies and the colonial government. The Americans wanted to preserve the their traditions of representative government and self-imposed. For the French, they had to have everything that had to do with the ancien regime was repugnant and had to be uprooted, as well as the religion.
