We all have hundreds if not thousands of choices when it comes to universities that we can attend. There are some that are campus only, some that are on line only, and in more recent years, a few that have broadened their course offerings to include both campus and online curriculum. The availability of online degrees has grown in leaps and bounds in the last several decades. Like any business, a university will experience growing pains when adding or changing new ideas through the years and it is how those changes are managed that will ultimately show the strength of the educational foundation. I also believe that Bethel is different from other more recently established “online universities” because it already has deep roots in our communities providing years of educational experience. This experience guides the instructors to encourage and educate Bethel’s students in the most efficient ways. Bethel has been growing and changing for more than one hundred and seventy years. The lessons that have been taught and learned by the university will undoubtedly help to mold and shape the way that they continue to do things now and in the future. I look at the longevity that Bethel has already shown and I know that as a student working towards my degree, Bethel and all of the fantastic employees that have already gone out of their way to help me get here, will still be here cheering me on as I graduate. It is empowering to be able to talk to past graduates of the PA program and know that they are living proof that my goals are attainable. It is difficult to know if a newer start up university will be able to offer the stability and longevity needed to complete the goals set out before us in order to graduate and
