Students, everyday go to school, and go into classes for hours, to learn. Homework is unnecessary because, when homework is assigned each and every day, it becomes extremely stressful for the students, because students might have to stay up late to finish their work. Some students with other activities such as clubs or even sports make completing homework a problem. Having homework causes a disruption with students to be able to have free time and a life outside of school.
Is Homework Helpful or Harmful? I. Homework can decrease the students’ academic performance in school. It can also lead to stress, depression, physical health problems, lack of balance, and alienation from society. II. Homework is at the same time helpful and harmful.
Homework is hard on teachers, but even harder on students and children some people say if kids could actually receive the mindset of actually being able to call it a day and be able to get home and have their freetime but instead they have to wait until homework is finished to start freetime a quote from “Wwhy kids under age 14 dont need homework” by Justin Coulson “Research has demonstrated that it “overwhelms struggling kids and removes joy for high achievers.” A 2002 study found a direct relationship between time spent on homework and levels of anxiety, depression, anger, and other mood disorders and issues”, this evidence shows that kids are getting excited to go home after a long day of school but when they get home they need to do homework before their finally free and that that extra bit of time spent on homework is causing stress and other issues for children at young ages and continues throughout higher grade
When there’s too much homework, it can cause depression if a student is dealing with too much homework their life balance is thrown out of proportion (Steve). Also some teachers give out busy work for the students to do and they don 't learn anything from it, it just takes up valuable time to do (Conner, Pope, Galloway). One other thing that does not help on homeworks side is that students sometimes don’t get
Throughout my years as a junior high student I have witnessed many incidents where students have become overwhelmed with the amount of homework we receive within a weeks time. Of those students, many of them became so overwhelmed with the amount of work and decided to put off doing it. These students would then suffer the consequences of detention and receiving low grades, causing them to fail their classes. However, some people may disagree that the amount of homework students receive is perfectly fine and that it teaches kids a life lesson about dealing with a lot of things all at once. Contradicting that last statement, kids deserve to spend their childhood years being kids and shouldn’t have to be burdened down with constant homework after
Teachers consider homework to help students better understand the subject matter. Teachers also assume the homework so the students will learn back at home. Once kids reach their teenage years you no longer hear “I love going to school” or “that homework was so much fun.” As a teenager I personally believe homework is just an extra burden. Learning should be enjoyable and effective throughout a student’s life. Decreasing the homework load will allow for kids to be themselves; to be happy and aware. Let the kids paint, draw, throw a ball, dance, or whatever it is that makes them happy.
Between balancing the International Baccalaureate program and being in a musical that requires an intensive rehearsal schedule, I 'm as busy as a bee this spring semester of my junior year. What makes time drag on to some people is that they 're just going through the motions simply because they are required to. I have discovered that my passion is performing. Once I had found something that I was passionate about, academics became easier to manage. Now don 't get me wrong; I do spend a considerable amount of time at rehearsals and voice lessons which limits the amount of time I have to complete homework, but from my perspective, this is what is particularly motivating.
Homework is like a boat with a hole in its side if there is a leak in the boat then the boat is useless. The water will rush in and fill the boat with cold, dark water. The same goes for homework, it is useless. All the nights kids spend with hours and hours of homework, all the tears and stress are not helping kids in school. Numerous amounts of today's kids have excessive amounts of homework.
Paragraph One - Introduction Do you think kids should be assigned homework? Studies show that if kids and teens have at least 10 minutes of homework every night their test scores might go up. Also, even though kids say that they get stressed out most of them just want to get out of doing their homework. Not only this, but, they will get smarter or just stay smart. They don’t have to get smarter with every piece of homework they do, but at least they won’t fall behind on their work.
The school use to start at 9am and it gets over at 3pm and then there is a tutoring program which running from 5pm to 8pm. The homework isn’t to bad because sometimes the teachers make us do it during class time and working on the homework with friends as a team work use to be fun. In the article “Down With Homework” the author says “Overwhelms struggling kids and removes joy for high achievers” I disagree on this statement because homework is a part of confidence and helps us to improve in our daily basis studies and keeps us on track. The idea that overall about homework it helps children to learn better and give them a better understanding of what they are learning in the daily

After a eight hour long day of working at school, all of the kids get released to go back to their houses. What most kids do is they get home and they relax and do other activities that they want to do. But later that day most people have extensive amounts of homework that they have to do. On Wednesdays kids may have religion and other things like sports to do and when people have a lot of homework like Brayden and Prescott have to deal with homework from Religion and School it can be stressful.
