World War II Argumentative Essay
Woodrow Wilson once said, “This is the war to end all wars.” This phrase, originally devised by H.G. Wells, was written about World War I. Twenty-one years later, World War II was declared. War has followed us for millenniums and will continue to follow us for millenniums to come. Some of the most important things about war that have developed over time are the rules and laws put into place. However, that can never take away from the billions of lives lost to these inhumane warfares. One example of this immoral combat was World War II. Although World War II brought many new additions to warfare such as the Geneva Conventions and the rules for warfare developed there, the determination of rules within war does not make the killing any more moral because of the constant and recurring civilian casualties, technological advancements that will not allow the rules to stay stable, and “humane” methods of killing which do not justify the destruction and copious loss of life. …show more content…
