This story was a class assignment for a University of Michigan School of Information course called "Using Digital Resources in K-12 Environments." It was created to celebrate National Children's Book Week, November 18-24, 1996. This year's theme was "Oh, The Places You'll Go!" - stories about travel. IT'S MAGIC! is an original work created by a group of 4th and 5th grade students at the Bach Open Elementary School with the help of Kit Flynn, their Library Media Specialist, and Sara Brodkin, a University of Michigan graduate student in the School of Information. Illustrations were created by the students using the Kid Pix software program. A special thanks goes to the following people:
