This encompasses a wide variety of fields, "including historic preservation, history, archaeology, architectural history, historical architecture, and landscape architecture." These pages provide information on government relations, pertinent happenings in congress, information on workshops, and information on ACRA itself.

Archaeological Institute of America

"The Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) has been dedicated to the encouragement and support of archaeological research and publication and to the protection of the world's cultural heritage for more than a century. A non-profit cultural and educational organization chartered by the U.S. Congress, it is the oldest and largest archaeological organization in North America, with more than 10,000 members around the world.... Members of the Institute have conducted fieldwork in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America. The AIA has further promoted archaeological studies by founding research centers and schools in seven countries and maintains close relations with these institutions, including the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, the School of Classical Studies at the American Academy in Rome, and others." It is a great place to find answers to questions ranging from museums all around the world with archaeological collections to what current policy in the United States is to preservation of artifacts.
