Literary Criticism

Example Questions that can be answered by this FARQ:

  • How do I find criticism of Shakespeare on the Web?
  • I need critical analysis of J.D. Salinger’s work.

We get a lot of mail from high school and college students who are interested in finding literary criticism online.

For years we’ve said that there’s no quick and easy way to find good online criticism, but now there is! We have developed an Literary Criticism Collection that brings together hundreds of literary criticism and biography web sites (with annotations) arranged by author, subject, and time period.

In addition to the collection, we have a Literary Criticism Pathfinder to help you learn to find literary criticism both online and in your library. One of the key features of the pathfinder is our own Online Literary Criticism Guide, which is a growing collection of Internet resources that lead to literary criticism.
