- This is "the first report of the Surgeon General on physical activity and health," which was released in 1996. The text of the report can be read online or downloaded. Summaries of the information are available in the at-a-glance section, which includes statistics and suggestions for moderate physical activities, and the fact sheets. "These fact sheets present report findings in population-specific [i.e. adolescents, older adults] format with key messages, physical activity facts and benefits, and suggestions for communities."
