"The Florida Photographic Collection is a nationally recognized component of the Florida State Archives and contains over 790,000 still photographs and approximately 2,000 movies and video tapes. The collection spans a wide range of visual images from copies of mid 15th Century maps to current photographs. In a concentrated effort to make the collection available to the largest possible audience, the Florida State Archives applied for grant funding under the Library Services and Construction Act (LSCA) to digitize a large part of the collection and to make it accessible through the internet. This web site is a result of that project. We will continue to add photographs to the site as they are cataloged and scanned." Searchable.
