This web site is a center for National Plant information. The PLANTS database "focuses on the vascular and nonvascular plants of the United States." The database includes distributional data on species, crop information, checklists, plant growth data, and reference to other plant resources. In addition, the database contains a plant photogallery.
Plants for a Future

Plants for the Future the website of a UK organization formed in 1989 when a parcel of land at Penpol, near Lostwithiel in Cornwall was purchased to grow "useful plants." The mission of the organization is conservation, research, and education. The site includes access to many informational leaflets on plant use such as "Staple seed crops from perennials", gardening tips, and links to other resources. The site also has good "checklists" for gardeners such as a checklist for "plants suitable for ground cover."
