Originally self-publised by Solanas in 1967, this radical feminist treatise invited women “to overthrow the government, eliminate the money system, institute complete automation and destroy the male sex.” Though it explicitly advocates killing men (the title ackronym stands for Society for Cutting Up Men), Solanas later wrote that the SCUM Manifesto was a literary device designed to provoke debate rather than a pratical plan of action.
