Terra Trevor of mixed blood Cherokee ancestry is the author of a diverse body of work in different genres, and is praised for her sensitive and intelligent treatment of culture, mixed race
identity, and transracial adoption concerns. She examines belief, faith and the complex core of Native American transracial parenting in her memoir "Pushing up the Sky" published by Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network.
Trevor’s work is widely anthologized, and is included in "Children of The Dragonfly: Native American Voices On Child Custody and Education," the first anthology to document Native American struggle for cultural survival on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border. In addition to writing Terra has served as a Director for American Indian Health & Services Red Ribbon Bridge Cultural Project, and as a coordinator for We Can Pediatric Brain Tumor Network, and Friends of Korea Family Exchange Program. A prolific writer of a diverse body of work she lives on the central coast of California, and shares her knowledge and experience by speaking in a variety of forums nationwide.
