After receiving an email to find out that my assignment was invalid, I turned blue. I was in my composition-1 class when I received this email and the instructor asked me if something was wrong. I had one more chance (thanks to Dr. Sitton) to spend 24 fresh hours without the media and prepare a report on it. As I work on the weekends at the university dining hall, media-free 24 hours was not going to be a big deal because I am not supposed to use the phone during work anyways. So my media free 24 hours began on 21st April at 2 pm. I left my cell phone at my apartment and walked to the dining hall. There were not many people sitting at the dining hall. I rushed to the manager’s office to collect my check but there wasn’t any. I was disappointed. I was told by my supervisor to email the manager immediately so that I might get it by the next day. But as it was a media less day, I had to wait 24 hours to email her. I was supposed to work at the grill. I love working there. It is the busiest place in the dining hall and I like to stay busy while I am working. Though I don’t eat meat, I make …show more content…
As I use my phone for alarm and if I had switched on my phone, it would have flooded with news notifications, WhatsApp messages and phone calls. So I did not set an alarm and got up late. So I reached the dining hall late but as the hall opens at 10.20 am, it was fine. The full day shift is divided into two parts, 9.30 am to 3 pm and 4 pm to 8. For the first part of the shift, I worked on the floor. My job was to make sure that all the tables are clean, all the table have enough tissues, the juices machines are filled with juices, dessert area is full of cakes, cookies and ice-cream. This is the most difficult job in the dining hall and all my coworkers and I hate it. We have to keep on roaming for 5 hours straight even if there is nobody in the dining hall because we aren’t getting paid to sit. We are supposed to stand and be
/Deputy Directors along with tasks from other team members that I know that I was going to need some overtime to complete the end of the year closeout. (I got no supporting response from Mr. Van Dongen) He was aware that I had been staying late (tolerated overtime) along with Mr. Randy Cottrell who stayed late working as

Exciting time to be a baseball fan. With all of the drama and distractions in the sports world lately, it is refreshing to turn on TV and watch a sport that is devoid (for the most part) of drama. Hello, I am Ryan Judge, and I have developed (with a group) a 6-week program to train a client for a 5k. A 5k is 3.1 miles, so it is an endurance run, something that is not meant to be done fast. In this essay, I am going to tell you about the fashion of our training program, and why me made it the way it is. The client that we made our 6-week training program for is a 13 year-old girl with no medical history.

Night Essay Throughout world war two, thousands upon thousands of Jews around Europe were forcefully deported to inhumane concentration camps by the Nazis, who they believed were unequal to them. Millions died, however, many also survived and some spoke of their experiences. In his memoir Night, Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel recounts the horrors and feats that he and his father encountered while imprisoned in numerous concentration camps towards the end of WWII. During that time, Elie faced many decisions that had pronounced impacts on his beliefs, faith in humanity, and life. From the decisions he makes, Elie's innocence and identity are both negatively, and positively changed throughout his experience as a concentration camp prisoner.
The novel Night, written by Elie Wiesel gives a firsthand account of the events of the Holocaust from one of its victims. The novel goes through some of Wiesel's experiences, and by association the trauma he faces. In Elie Wiesel’s memoir Night, Wiesel asserts that cruelty and inhumane treatment may result in a shift in one's individualism, spirituality and ethics. Ultimately the author's purpose is to suggest that trauma within an individual or group can cause them to lose their innocence much quicker than without.

We arrived and wait in the sitting area by Starbucks. There was quite a few people there. We had to wait for a bit before it was my turn. Eventually it was my turn and i went into the office with the manager named Travis.
As a new and young manager at McDonald’s I had a lot of responsibility and stress on my plate. I worked for them for about a year and a half before I was promoted and I got to know the crew and got close to some before I moved up. One of the hardest things to do as a manager is run a shift when you are understaffed. The excuses you get from people will have you rethinking your life and the position you’re in.
I couldn’t help but to stray off from doing work and googling what had just happened. Trying to get information. What are the next steps? Requirements for this Deferred Action were posted a day later. Simple things
Students in schools around the U.S are being affected by the loss of the amount of study time received during summer vacation. This hurts their education drastically. Although you may not see the results in the first couple of days, you may see them in the long run. In order to increase student success at Anaheim, schools need to be more disciplined and organized on their students. Schools should give students a protocol or procedure to follow before and during school.
In today’s world, there is a division among the people in the world regarding whether or not it is ethical to eat meat. After researching about eating meat and vegetarianism, I have come to the conclusion that it is indeed ethical to eat meat in today’s society. Sure, eating meat might have its drawbacks, but I have found that the benefits of eating meat far outweigh the negatives of eating it. Eating meat not only helps improve people’s health, but it also helps strengthen our economy and it has little difference in the environmental impact that involves in the farming of vegetables. Eating too much of anything usually results in a negative outcome.
