My people believe romanticism is someone who falls in love with a woman and they live happily ever after but no they’re wrong it actually means, For instance, Edgar Allen Poe remains popular today for his haunting and suspenseful stories he makes intense and interesting for the reader's attention and makes everything more fun for the reader. The minister of the black veil is about the man who is a minister. One day he wore a black veil and since that day his life just instinct. For example, one of the American romanticism characteristics is used in The minister's Black veil by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Romanticism was a time which had many unique attributes, but Washington Irving did not agree with those attributes and made fun of those ideas through his writing. Romanticism is a time period that was at its peak from 1800-1850 in which people all over the world focused on the many new ideas in art, music, and writing. The definition of Romanticism is simply, anything but the here or now or whatever isn’t realistic but is commonly referred to as the time period
For example, Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827) is often cited as being in the "Romantic" genre, by some of the same sources who claim that the classical period lasted until 1825, e.g. his entire life! Likewise, there is no consistent description of Vienna's Franz Schubert (1797-1828) - sometimes considered "classical" and other times "romantic". This time period is the most critical for the guitar, however, since Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829), Ferdinando Carulli (1770 - 1841), Fernando Sor (1778-1839), etc., lived during this era. Some guitarists speak of Sor's "Classical Period" to describe his early works, compared to his more romantic works of the 1830's. Stylistically, the guitar's early composers are "inbetween" classical and romantic - thus "late classical" or "early romantic" would be suitable descriptions.

“The 19th century, the Romantic era, saw an intensification and extension of the expressive elements of classicism, but did not mark a musical stylistic break with classicism” (L33, 00:53). As discussed by Greenberg, there is “no syntactical break between the rhythm, melody and harmony of Classical era music and Romantic era music”. The word Romantic in this context is defined as “something that is boundless, incredible, above and beyond the everyday day, and marvelous” (L33, 3:49).Classical and Romantic eras are distinguished from one another in “expressive context and the incremental changes made to the musical language in order to describe that expressive content” (L33, 4:33).
