5.2 Data Gathering Method
Various types of data were collected in the process of research implementation. Data, such as pupils’ work, reflective journal, observation data, interview, questionnaire and photographs, were collected in order to ensure that the result can be analysed and presented accurately.
5.2.1 Before the Implementation of Intervention
Questionnaire was given to the targeted group before the implementation of my intervention. The response scale used in the questionnaire is ordinal type. According to Brace (2008), ordinal data are usually found in questionnaires as ranking scales, where respondents are asked to rate the items according to their preference. The questionnaire was devised to understand pupils’ characteristics

According to Robins, Fraley, & Krueger (2007), observation is a data collection method that allows researcher to gather a great of data quickly, with a relatively low cost. Hence, observation is one of the most important data collection methods that was utilized in this research due to time constraint. By marking pupils’ work, recognising pupils’ learning style and identifying pupils’ weaknesses, I was able to make assumption on the problems faced by my pupils and hence devise an intervention, which is beneficial for them.
5.2.2 During the Implementation of Intervention
Nonetheless, data was collected in the form of pupils’ written work. By collecting and recording their work, analysis could be done with the support of evidence. In addition, photographs were also taken in the process of conducting the activity. By taking photographs, details such as pupils’ response, feeling and other aspects could be reviewed repeatedly. At the meantime, observation was also being conducted in the class when the activity is taking place.

In this part, data analysis methods are being examined from the aspects of qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data, such as interview, observation and reflective journal, were collected and analysed. The data collected in the process of implementation were recorded using the exact word used at the moment. Qualitative data collected in this research could be subjective as the pupils express their personal perspectives on their feelings or opinion using their words.
On the other hand, data, such as pupils’ work and questionnaire, were analysed using quantitative method where the results were presented using chart and table. Quantitative data collected in this research could act as an objective evidence as pupils’ performance were being analysed based on their behaviour. The patterns analysed will be discussed in the findings in latter part. To help with the pattern analysis, the following coding has been constructed.

The primary purpose of observational assessment is for refining teaching and improving ther learning, according to Allen & Cowdery, 2011. In that’s exacly what you can see in this assignment of mine, I use the information
Our collected data will be analyzed using an ordinal regression analysis with FID as a dependent variable and group size and time of day as an independent
Before exploring ways of managing behaviours and supporting children positively within the classroom/school environment I will be looking at the characteristics that influence particular behaviours. Which can be or become disruptive to a child’s social and emotional wellbeing, their learning and consequently negatively impact both themselves and those around
Being in front of this challenge students try to work harder in order to succeed. In the article, Sherry uses pieces of evidence from her personal experience and examples to support her thesis. Also, her article is well-organized, and Sherry uses an academic language. However, Sherry do not consider many aspects that might affect students. She gives to much importance the example that she gives with her son.
Through implement activities in this classroom, I observed that children have capacity to use materials in variety of ways to learn and explore base on their experiences and interests. Even though I have planned my activity and image how children might approach to the materials, I restrain instructions and let children express how they play and learn. I stay beside to observe and assist when children needed. It is treasure to see how children excited to learn and be creative. In the classroom, I’m sensitive to individual differences and abilities.
Figure 1 is a summary of the students’ learning throughout the learning segment. I administrated this test as a pre-assessment prior to the lesson one and administered it again after the completion of lesson 3. This test is a compilation of students’ learning and it demonstration how they met the standards and objectives that were set out for them to achieve. The evaluation criteria in which this assessment and all other assessment in the individual lessons did was not altered. Even though the students have different learning needs, the assessment met all of the needs for all learners.

Observation “When dealing with children there is greater need for observing than of probing.” Maria Montessori Observation of the environment, the children and our own practice and feelings is at the heart of reflective practice. Observation requires a particular mindset and skill set. Observation of children Essential competencies and personal attributes necessary to observe children effectively are presented. These will include empathy and love of children, being non-judgemental and inclusive, knowledge of child development and understanding of the social context of children.

This monitoring is used to determine changes in how the child is taught, continuing progress monitoring throughout instruction and evaluating the changes. Involving the parent throughout the process and following the timelines of IDEA 2004, unless both the parent and teacher agree to
Introduction It is very important to study about the development of the human. Because it provides framework to think about human growth, their mental development, and the most important one, ‘their learning’. As a teacher it is very important to study about these theories. Because it have a close relationship with the development of the students and their learning behavior (Michael, 2012) .
So, whenever I found an opportunity or whenever a teacher researcher, a colleague, a teacher trainer or a novice teacher requested to observe my lesson, without hesitation, I accepted to be observed throughout my lessons. Although they wanted to make use of the observation for their study or for their professional development, I also benefit from these observations by asking them to comment on my
C. Analysis In this chapter, I will make critical analysis on the results of the classroom observation with my opinion. 1. Teacher’s Classroom Management a. Managing students to pay attention to the lesson According to Warfield (2016) mentioned that classroom surrounding very affects to student performance.
Some students might perform best when they listen and participating in class discussions, and other might be visual persons while others prefer to take down notes. This is why it is imperative for the teachers to engage in knowing the students at the beginning of the school year and as quickly as possible for them to implement the right teaching strategies. Another important factor for the teachers to take into consideration is the parental support and home environment in the student success. Nowadays, teachers try to build a friendly relationship with the students’ parents because they know that sometimes when the student is not performing well is because there are problems at home.
