Dirk Werner Nowitzki is a German professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association and member of the team Dallas Mavericks. Nowitzki was chosen as ninth pick in the 1998 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and suddenly traded to the Mavericks where he never left.
