If I win this scholarship, I will know that the hard work of students who thrive for academic success isn’t looked over just because a student next to us thrives for success through their sport. In high school, we see an ample amount of our classmates get signed to different colleges and universities because of their abilities on the court or on the field. But, after being in classes with them for four or more years, we know that their grades aren’t of good quality all of the time. But, us students who work the hardest in the classrooms to pull off 4.0s and 5.0’s can barely get a decent scholarship because we don’t have a 25 or above ACT score. This can at times prevent students from going to their dream school because they don’t have the money to pay out of pocket for school.
It allows them to be busier and engaged to the learning strategies that they are learning. It helps the teachers and students to push students to get their work done on time to get their credits in a faster way with good grades which will bring a smile on their faces and make them feel proud of themselves. Also, you get a fantastic experience that no one will ever regret when they graduate. Also, the teachers have to do less marking than regular high school years, for instance, if the class is significant, the teacher cannot teach everyone at once. So, this gives an opportunity to everyone who takes school year-round everyone will be able to maintain at the same pace when the teacher is teaching the whole class.
Many people believe that students that are involved in a high school sport affect their grade and test scores. At most high schools in America, sports are very popular and an important role in a student’s school years. High school sports have a positive impact on students and schools everywhere. Students have a better chance in succeeding in school while playing in a high school sport. First, high school sports are positive because it has great impact on both the student’s education and sports participation.
Do not slack off because it will hurt you in the long run. Start off your freshman year off strong. Learn how to manage your time well because you will have a lot of free time, you could take advantage of it by doing homework or perhaps study for a test, just use your free time wisely. Don’t procrastinate on assignments because that will result in bad grades, and remember your GPA matter. If you began strong, and let 's say you fall a little bit in the other years your GPA won’t be significantly affected.
The mentors were supposed to tutor and work with their mentees throughout the year. We aimed to make students feel more comfortable in high school. The problem with this program was that it was ineffective and was only enforced as a one day program. I believed that this program had so much more potential than a one day event, thus I wanted to extend the program to an all
All schools should participate in year-round school because children and faculty get more breaks, students forget things over summer break, and it would be efficient use of the school building. Year-round school schedules, such as the 45-15 plan, would be much more logic and effective for students and faculty in this day in time. Don’t you desire to have the most beneficial and knowledgeable school learning experience
Fourteen is well, fourteen. You start getting excited because next year is high school, and you get to be cool until you realized that highschool is over glorified. You start dealing with real drama, not just the kind of drama that is like so and so said they don’t want to be my friend anymore, it’s more like someone bullying someone else for real, not just the little unimportant tattle tale things that happen when you are thirteen. Thirteen you are just starting to get use to middle school, only to realize in two short years you are going to be a great big amazing high schooler. It’s your first year being a teenager, you didn’t ever think that this day would come where you would actually be a teenager.
Hardships will change your life for the better and prepare you for what’s to come. The hardships in highschool that students go through are well worth it. All those hours of studying, learning, lack of sleep, and stress will pay off in the long run. High school has been preparing students for what they are going to encounter in the real world like work and college.
Being a Web leader can help me become more aware of these things, and make me a better person, while helping others. I will still know these kids, and when they even come to high school, and when i am a senior, I can help them as a freshman too. This program can impact my life, and everyone is nervous on the first day of school, and the teachers can only do so much. Taking them on a tour answering questions, can all make them feel less nervous. Hearing it from a student that has gone to Transit will be easier than a teacher, because we were once in their
It was the first time I had to overcome an obstacle like this and also it was very hard because of the timing of the move being right before the start of my junior year in high school. This experience was very beneficial for me as a person because it helped me relate to how others that may not have as many friends or are put into a new situation feel when they are forced out of their comfort zone. The mindset I went into this situation was that it was an opportunity for me to change into anyone I wanted to be and that was exciting for me. It helped me to improve my social skills in my new school in order to make all new friends and I know that these same skills will help me in the future for a job or going off to college where I will encounter the same obstacles as I was faced with when I moved to
The “C Rule” The “C rule “ would be a huge academic benefit to Webb City High School. The “C rule” is a rule that says any student who participates in an extracurricular activity has to maintain at least a C average in each of their required classes. With the “C rule” being enforced it would motivate students to do better in school and to try harder. Students grades would rise and although some students would not be able to participate in their activities anymore it would still be beneficial for the students who actually care about school .
I really like that my school rewarded us for doing well in our classes, but they did it at the end of the year for a grand finally of the school year. I believe at the end of that year was when I started being a good student. I found out how important it was to get good grades. As soon as everybody was on the bus we started our trip to Six
Teachers are constantly working to prepare us for the next level. One time in school when my growth thrived was my first few days of high school. In these days, I was able to realize how far I’ve come and what it’s going to take to be successful in the school. From the start, I made the decision that I wanted to do my very best in high school to help my future. Ever since I’ve made this decision, I’ve grown into a hard working, knowledgeable person.
People with an education have a larger income, have a better chance of earning the respect of fellow citizens, and are more likely to get jobs. Knowledge is power, and many young people living in the Projects are intelligent and full of submerged potential, but they live in a place where it is an achievement just to graduate from high school. They have lost the hope that was alive and thriving during the life of their grandparents, when Martin Luther King was a beacon of hope. The children in the projects might have low expectations for their future, but holding on to hope and fierce determination is the only way they will leave their lives of poverty. Martin Luther King, Jr., emphasized, "I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream" (King Jr.).
This is the first year doing intersession at CCMS. intersson is an break from the work, but if you are struggling in a subject then you will be in enrichment. If you are excelling in all of your subjects, then you will be in acceleration. I think it is a great idea and I think it will help in the long run.
