9/11 Short Stories

A bounty hunter named Kisa was running away from two hired goons who had chased her down to a hidden night club. She had managed to dodge them and vanish into a shadowy alleyway, but as she was escaping out of the alley the clattering of a metal gate gave her position away.

So she quickly darted for cover and just as she was about to get out of their line of sight she was tagged by three sleeping darts. Kisa tried to get farther away to hide better, but she passed out before she could. The two goons quickly get to her and tie her up before the darts wear off and after an hour had passed she slowly woke up. Kisa found herself inside a car handcuffed and shackled unable to move her arms and legs and when she took in her surroundings she found

While she was watching she starts talking about their father's first wife and daughter and how he had killed them in cold blood for trying to leave him and how her son and their step brother also ran away just like she did. They went down into the room and found all four walls covered in video tapes both recorded and blank, a TV set with a VCR in the center of one wall with a chair in front of it and a bed and camera-recorder in the center of the room. They put in a tape that was closest to the tv and found Kisa and her mother being abused and on a tape near the middle was his first wife and daughter being abused. At the bottom of each film was a date and time and once the forensic team went through all the tapes they found that the footage went back about thirty years to his teenage years and included footage of his first wife's and daughter's murder. Some of the footage also included random women from whom the police had received reports from as far back as thirty years about being kidnapped and beaten while blindfolded and then dumped into a park or ditch after being nearly beaten to death.

After the search was done Kisa asked the police if she could talk to her father while they were monitoring them to see what would happen. Curious about that themselves the chief of police agrees to let her talk to him and escort her to the police station to have a chat.
