Rick is the Stereotypical high school jerk. Stuck-up, with a “better than you” attitude and a penchant to get drunk at the worst times. He says, “I put up a finger and wag it side to side in front of his nose. “You know the difference between you and me, Sanford?” He says, “there’s a lot of differences between us, lardo. you couldn’t count the differences between us.” “that’s probably true.” I say, closing my fist under his nose. but the one that matters right now is that i can make you ugly.” He stares at my fist. I say, “don’t even think about it. Next to dancing, that’s my strong suit.” Here we see that Angus has mastered both his anger and his confidence. In mastering his anger he can hold it back. In mastering his confidence, he can stand up for himself. He could have punched Rick in the face right from the get go, but he has control over his anger. He could have tried to slink away, avoiding the confrontation, but now he has more confidence in

Being involved in criminal activity is not unusual, for Doc 's counterpart, Rick. He is readily available to break any laws in the name of science, to flee out of a dangerous situation or just simply on a whim. At the end of the second season final episode, Rick turns himself into the Galactic Federation, and it is shown his extensive criminal record of crimes. Rick and Morty 's personality traits are over emphasized, a common trope among parodies. Rick and Morty have deviated from Back to The Future with the absence of time travel, in lieu, the sci-fi adventures take place across dimensions and planets, not

At the dawn of the 1770s, American colonial resentment of the British Parliament in London had been steadily increasing for some time. Retaliating in 1766, Parliament issued the Declaratory Act which repealed most taxes except issued a reinforcement of Parliament’s supremacy. In a fascinating exchange, we see that the Parliament identifies and responds to the colonists main claim; Parliament had no right to directly tax colonists who had no representation in Parliament itself. By asserting Parliamentary supremacy while simultaneously repealing the Stamp Act and scaling back the Sugar Act, Parliament essentially established the hill it would die on, that being its legitimacy. With the stage set for colonial conflict in the 1770s, all but one

The poem “A Story” by Li-Young Lee depicts the complex relationship between a boy and his father when the boy asks his father for a story and he can’t come up with one. When you’re a parent your main focus is to make your child happy and to meet all the expectations your child meets. When you come to realize a certain expectation can’t satisfy the person you love your reaction should automatically be to question what would happen if you never end up satisfying them. When the father does this he realizes the outcome isn’t what he’d hope for. He then finally realizes that he still has time to meet that expectation and he isn’t being rushed.
Some see the ugliness in the most beautiful things but others see the beauty in the most hideous of things. The poem William Street by Kenneth Slessor demonstrates this thesis statement as he talks about how he sees the beauty in the street that is renowned for its ugliness and the unsightly surroundings it is engulfed with. This poem's literary techniques and imagery gives the readers an insight into the environment and the surroundings that are seen vividly even though they are described through the use of foreshadowing. Each stanza gives the readers a different understanding on what is going on during the poem.
