She has demonstrated her knowledge of nursing by receiving her education and working with others in healthcare. I look forward to being like her one day and pursue my dreams, just like Angie did. Motivation is key throughout this whole process. I have always wanted to be a nurse since day one. Seeing my father battle sickness for almost fourteen years confirmed my decision.
My Future Career, Nurse Practitioner A nurse practitioner is a nurse with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. When I was little I always said I wanted to become a nurse practitioner. It was something about being able to help patients overcome their illnesses that interested me the most. It always seemed like it was the perfect profession for me because I am a people’s person. The required education is to have a Master’s degree.
The career I chose to pursue is Registered Nurse. The reason why I chose Registered Nurse as my career choice is I love helping people. Making sure they are taken care of in every area from bathing, to cleaning, to hospitality. Registered Nurse is a good choice because you get to work with a variety of patients, and kids in the pediatric department and geriatric. Nurses are also very specialized in neo-natal intensive care.
I am currently completing my certified nurse program to proceed with a job as a patient care technician. I believe a job as a certified nurse assistant will give me a better insight while working beside nurses and observe what set of skills nurses use. My strengths that best suit my personality and this program are determination, effort, caring, critical thinker, discipline, and enthusiastic. These qualities would reflect on a nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong in the nursing field, because ever since I was a child, I always wanted to make a positive influence in people's lives.
My personal goal is simply to be successful, and I don't mean money but to be happy with myself and what I have been able to accomplish. Whatever I choose to do I simply want to enjoy it, to be good at it, and to continue bettering myself. Becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is my goal and I know in some few years to come I would have a Phd degree in nursing. I would like to help, be a huge part and play a role of success in the nursing field. Working for a major children's hospital has always been my dream and making a difference within the hospital would be my ideal goal of professional success.
It is a profession in which teamwork between healthcare providers is essential to provide safe and appropriate care to all patients. I believe that nursing is a profession for me, and will continue to expand my knowledge as a nurse by educating myself, growing from past nursing opportunities, applying knowledge, and learning from patients and their families. My vision is to continue to develop my knowledge and grow as a nurse. As I continue to grow and learn about nursing, I believe that my philosophy will evolve with every new experience and will positively impact the client population. I trust that my philosophy of nursing will have a positive impact on my clients as my goal is to consistently provide competent, safe nursing care to all which is culturally safe.
It is essential to me to be a patient advocate, provider, teacher, manager, and leader because I think that we as nurses should deliver the highest quality nursing care in order to accomplish excellence in patient 's outcomes. To me nursing is about compassion and trying to understand human beings on all emotional, physical, and scientific levels. As a professional nurse, I feel a personal commitment toward life-long learning, through formal education and hands-on experience to better myself and my nursing knowledge. Of all the things that make up nursing, nobody can truly understand or know what it means to be a nurse until they have actually lived it. The first thing that comes to mind when someone asks me why I want to be a nurse is because I just love to take care of people.
I had never thought of it before, but it was perfect! It fit both the things I want to do, work with kids and help people. I think nurses are so important. Without them a hospital would be nothing, and more people would be ill without the proper care they need. Nurses are there to care for the patient, support them, give them hope, and be there for them when nobody else is.
Thomas, I agree with you, nursing would be almost impossible without nursing assistants. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked with several nursing assistants that are tremendous and a great asset to the nurse. I have also worked with a couple of nursing assistants that could take some advice and training from those tremendous nursing assistants. Having said that, my job as a nurse is dependent on the nursing assistant and we all should work together for what is best for the patient, for they are the ones who we are caring for and they should be of the utmost importance.
Pursing a career as a nurse will be very challenging and hard work, but I know it will be a rewarding profession. I want to be a nurse so I can help people through some of their most vulnerable moments and weakest times. I believe a career as a nurse is one of the most rewarding jobs, it gives you the opportunity to positively impact your patients and community. I know that the nursing profession is a challenging career at times, but I am dedicated to put in the hard work to help
I chose nursing specifically because I love the idea of taking care of people, and nurses make a huge difference and have such an impact on the patients and their loved ones lives. In my junior year, I went to Butler hospital to shadow one of the nurses that worked there. During her shift, she was always busy and working hard in order to take care of all her patients. The thought of working hard
My kindergarten teacher always called me the mother hen of her class. She called me that because I would always make sure others were doing what they were supposed to be doing and I would make sure that everyone was okay and happy. For example, if someone got sick in class, I would constantly ask them if they needed anything, and I would get it for them. Since then I’ve always wanted to be a nurse; I want to help others. There are many personal experiences I can relate to nursing.
I started doing that every time I went to the doctor. Eventually, I asked her what kind of nurse she was and she told me a Family Nurse Practitioner. She explained a lot of what they do to me and I loved it, they get to work with adults which I didn’t know they did, but mainly kids, and that’s one thing I always wanted to do was work with kids but I nice mix up of
I enjoy seeing the babies in both the nursery and the Intensive Care unit (NICU) as well as observing the OB GYN’s visiting with their patients while they are in the hospital. I want to be an OB GYN so that I can assist maturing women with maintaining a healthy reproductive system so that they can carry full term babies and a live healthy disease free lives. As an OB GYN, I want to be a source of
