I believe a job as a certified nurse assistant will give me a better insight while working beside nurses and observe what set of skills nurses use. My strengths that best suit my personality and this program are determination, effort, caring, critical thinker, discipline, and enthusiastic. These qualities would reflect on a nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong in the nursing field, because ever since I was a child, I always wanted to make a positive influence in people's lives.

It is a profession in which teamwork between healthcare providers is essential to provide safe and appropriate care to all patients. I believe that nursing is a profession for me, and will continue to expand my knowledge as a nurse by educating myself, growing from past nursing opportunities, applying knowledge, and learning from patients and their families. My vision is to continue to develop my knowledge and grow as a nurse. As I continue to grow and learn about nursing, I believe that my philosophy will evolve with every new experience and will positively impact the client population. I trust that my philosophy of nursing will have a positive impact on my clients as my goal is to consistently provide competent, safe nursing care to all which is culturally safe.
It is essential to me to be a patient advocate, provider, teacher, manager, and leader because I think that we as nurses should deliver the highest quality nursing care in order to accomplish excellence in patient 's outcomes. To me nursing is about compassion and trying to understand human beings on all emotional, physical, and scientific levels. As a professional nurse, I feel a personal commitment toward life-long learning, through formal education and hands-on experience to better myself and my nursing knowledge. Of all the things that make up nursing, nobody can truly understand or know what it means to be a nurse until they have actually lived it. The first thing that comes to mind when someone asks me why I want to be a nurse is because I just love to take care of people.
I had never thought of it before, but it was perfect! It fit both the things I want to do, work with kids and help people. I think nurses are so important. Without them a hospital would be nothing, and more people would be ill without the proper care they need.
Thomas, I agree with you, nursing would be almost impossible without nursing assistants. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked with several nursing assistants that are tremendous and a great asset to the nurse. I have also worked with a couple of nursing assistants that could take some advice and training from those tremendous nursing assistants. Having said that, my job as a nurse is dependent on the nursing assistant and we all should work together for what is best for the patient, for they are the ones who we are caring for and they should be of the utmost importance.
