When I joined Beckers BIC, it surprised all my classmates and friends because I had accepted a role in Manufacture sector, yet I had performed distinctively better than those who were studying courses in process engineering with me. Everyone asked me why I did it and I only smiled; I knew what I wanted to pursue and explore for the rest of my life.

I chose a career in Industrial Engineering because I like to solve puzzles, to get involved in brainstorming sessions, prosecute unyielding problems and in the end I want to create things that thousands of people are going to use and love. I found two kinds of people there, one who were working on the process and the other, who were working on the efficiency and optimization of the process. I found the other one more interesting. Consistently excelling at math since the high school level, I enjoyed subjects that incorporated arithmetical application. I also made a conscious effort to take advantage of courses and projects, often beyond the prescribed curriculum. Most of those projects were done in groups of two to four students. This gave me the opportunity to learn to work in a group- both as a leader or otherwise. My first tryst with cutting-edge technology was during my Industrial training and project at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Mumbai, with an intensive orientation to processes, product cycles, and quality control in high-precision manufacturing ambience. I also completed a project on ‘Design and Efficiency of Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit’. As a student I kept on developing manufacturing trends through journals, industrial visits, conferences and interactions with renowned academic authorities and practicing
