Capone and a man named Torrio were invited to be members of a gang, The James Street Boys, run by Colosimo. Not too long after the invitation, Colosimo was murdered. This led to Al Capone being able to capitalize on the potential of the gang. Capone and Torrio led the gang together for a year, this was until Torrio was killed. After Torrio’s death, and under Capone's reign, the success of the gang began.
Al Capone also known as Scarface was a 1920’s mob boss in the city of Chicago, Illinois. He came from a family of Italian immigrants and he was raised in New York City. Capone was part of a gang in New York until he got a invitation from Tarrio in 1920 to come to Chicago and join his mafia. But in 1925 Tarrio was almost killed in a shootout with a rival gang so he steps down from mob boss and hands the mafia to Capone. Once Al became the boss he started to sell whiskey which at the time was illegal because of Prohibition.
Another powerful member in the mafia was Johnny Torrio. Torrio was born in a village near Naples and was brought to New York by his widowed mother when he was around the age of two. As Torrio grew older he became the leader of the James Street boys. In a later stage of his life, Torrio became a rackets boss in Brooklyn when engaging in activities that involved extortion before moving to Chicago to expand a mob called the Colosimo where he worked with his friend Al Capone and together they expanded into big-time bootlegging, illegal manufacture, sale, and transport of alcohol, and gambling casinos of the Prohibition era. But suddenly things started getting worse for Torrio when he was shot by a rival gang and due to his injury he was forced to retire.
Many of them are young, relentless, and possibly want attention. Many of these males will wind up with the wrong crowd making stupid, terrible decisions, for example, drug dealing. The quote that follows will back up the previous statement, “He was a veteran of the drug game at 18” (Moore 57). In this part of the story Tony and the other Wes were hanging out and Tony, the other Wes’s brother grew up quickly hanging with the wrong crowd and got in the ‘street business’ of drugs. The altercations leading up to the quote were that Tony was trying to get Wes to go down the same path he did and he wasn’t going for it.
Entrance into Leadership Capone entered into the gang life at an early age under Torrio, but he did not immediately rise to power. As people do in the workforce, he struggled and clawed his way to the top after putting in countless hours doing the work for Torrio that he would later have others do for himself. At 19, he married his baby’s mother, Mae Coughlin, and moved to Baltimore with a vow to make a good life for he and his family. After his father unexpectedly died, however, he relocated to Chicago in 1920 and became reunited with his former boss, Johnny Torrio (“Al Capone,” History.com). Torrio had become fairly successful within the gambling and prostitution businesses, but after the 18th was passed, outlawing the sale and consumption of alcohol, Torrio saw a more promising opportunity, however, Torrio abandoned his organization when he was almost killed in an assassination attempt in 1925 (“Al Capone,” History.com).
Capone became completely involved in the gangster life at the age of eighteen when he worked for Frankie Yale as a bouncer, waiter and bartender. He used the time he was working to watch and learn the business of being a gangster. This was also the time where Capone received the nickname, ‘Scarface”, after being cut across the face for making bad-mannered comments to a

Depending on who you ask, The Godfather directed by Francis Ford Coppola, is perhaps one of the influential films every made. However, it is often set and stone as one of the most revolutionizing thriller films in the past few eras. After watching both Breathless and The Godfather, I recognized how films change over the years and how cultures can ultimately define both the content and theme of the film. People often watch thriller films to elicit a feeling of intense excitement, suspense, and a high level of anticipation. Typically these are the films that keep the audience on the "edge of their seats" as the plot builds towards a climax.
