One of the most popular ones was the “March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.” held on august 28 1963. This is where he did his famous i have a dream speech.this speech was one of the biggest impacts towards the civil rights act.Some of the words from that speech were “I have a dream that one day right there in Alabama little black boys and little black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.” -Martin Luther King, Jr. (Deseret News).
