A nurse is one of the jobs that I like the most. One of my dreams become a Doctor or a nurse, a nurse is someone who helps the doctor in evaluating patients who are sick or have a medical problem. There are different types of nurses that you could be. If you like newborns or kids you could consider being a Nurse Pediatrician. It has good and bad situations because nurses see kids who are sick, but at the same time they also feel glad in helping. There are also nurses who enjoy helping older people and who care about their health. Besides, there are nurses who like to work in the ER department. This job requires studying, dedication, patience, understanding and love towards the patience. This is a job where you come across with different emotions. This can happen when there are patients that have a terminal illnesses or, who are very sick, here is where nurses feel heartbroken to see the patient suffer and knowing that he or she does not have a cure and who is going to die, but at the same time you try to brighten their lives and try to do the most possible to offer love and caring during the service or care. Therefore, one of the disadvantages of this job is that it is prone to the contagion of diseases, that are transmitted by the contact between the patience, since some of these diseases can be transmitted when we breathe. But this is not in all cases. The nurses also receive a lot of pressure with the other nurses, doctors and the family of the patient . This job also requires to be standing and being in movement because the nurses have to be checking their patients regularly in hospitals or clinics. In elderly retirements nurses help the elderly bathing them, eating, and helping them with their health. Overall working as a nurse can be difficult due to the hard and irregular schedules. In conclusion, in the job you can get experience something new with each patient. Because this job you live day by day not knowing what is going to happen. First of all you should finish high school and receive your diploma. For example, if you want to be a nurse that is capable of doing more than an ordinary nurse you might look forward to being a Registered Nurse. You will have to take classes that include mathematics, biology,English and other science classes. Thus he or she will have to enroll in some type of nurse program to give them a head start for college or the university they attend. To become a Registered Nurse you will have to get a nursing degree in science, which is a 4 year bachelor degree (Career Cruising). According to cruising career a website that helps you in choosing the right career for you, stated that “The other option is the 2-year associate degree in nursing (ADN)”, this might take three years (Career Cruising Nurse). In conclusions if he or she chooses to become a Registered nurse they have more opportunities in becoming accepted in a hospital. There is a test that states require you to take, but this depends on if want to become Registered Nurse. You are required to take the “National Council Licensing exams”.
