Me Michael Ortiz choose the words that come out of my mouth weather they are positive or negative or maybe just plain out stupid, but then might be one of the smartest things anyone has ever said in their entire life. I have been threw my fair share of getting told things that I like and I have been told things I have to forget cause they were so harsh, but some of those things keep me going in my life cause I want to prove to them look what I accomplished and I am ten times better then you will ever be. .
I was helped by a good friend of mines father my junior year in high school, I know him as Mr. Trevor he helped me a lot all the way from advice, school and football he always told me I want you to be a successful person in life mike this is why I am helping you I don’t want you to stay in this town the rest of your life I want to help you get into college and get a degree so we would go to the library for tutoring three times a week and study for about three hours he totally changed
Rebels Without a Cause Not very many people have affected me in the same way as my friend Jake Fernholz. I have never realized the influence he has had on me until someone pointed out that we talk and think the same way. I only met Jake two years ago in track, when a pulled hamstring injury caused Mr. Kellerman to have me practice with the long distance kids. Mr. Kellerman forced me into staying on the long distance team and that is where I started to hit it off with Jake. It took me a long time to be comfortable with Jake, but when I did we quickly found our common interests.
Subsequently, I will continue to reflect upon his examples to guide my future actions, decisions and behaviors. I hope you will
Jim Valvano knew how to target you with motivation when going through tough times because, he was going through one of the hardest times someone could go through in their life life. He had tumors throughout his body, but he still managed to have a smile on his face to try and make someone else 's day better, because that was the type of man that he was. Jim Valvano gave everything he had at every moment he had in his life. He was a top 3 college basketball player, he was a top 10 coach of all time in college basketball, he was an unbelievable sports broadcaster at espn, and finally he was a mentor. Jim Valvano was a mentor in many different ways that can not even be explained he was just that type of person trying to help out other people in the world that no one will ever be like.
Baseball Hall of Fame legend Cal Ripken, Jr. looked to his father, Cal Ripken, Sr. as a powerful mentor. “He tried to give us the value of being a good person,” Ripken, Jr. said. “The value of a mentor… I don’t know what value you can place on it, but the right words spoken at the right time from a person that’s been through it before…can make all the difference in that youth game,” he added. Actor and director Clint Eastwood was mentored by his grandmother, who encouraged the Dirty Harry star to always work hard and pursue his dreams.
He taught me how not to love so easy. Carl Story taught how to find a better man than himself. He taught me how to be the man he never
I learned that a lot of people can learn from this speech. Jobs lived a difficult life. He was fired from the company he created. He was living with cancer. All these obstacles and he still was able to overcome
And when things get harder or easier for me in life the things that he taught me I will always remember and never forget them this gave me a huge understanding of the people that just wanna become better, and those who dont wanna get better and achieve nothing. This goes from my intro from In These Girls, Hope is a Muscle. This shows how the captain of the team was pushing the team, and my personal mentor would be my coach on the way he pushed my team to finally win a state championship from the last state title being over 30 years ago
“If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t you’re right.” Ever since I was young, that remained one of my father’s favorite quotes to say, if it be a disagreement with a friend, or working on long division problem. While growing up, knowing that my siblings had not done quite well in school, and that was one of my biggest incentives to do well. I had grown up on one of the worst sides of town, living in an apartment complex with one of the worst reputations, living off the checks my father brought in from his back disability, and food stamps.
At the same time, my father taught me how to be a good listener–I don't pass judgment on others. Lots of people have shared their stories with me because of this trait” (Nick
College students have a great amount of activities going on in their life: work, homework, exams, family, friends, and sports. Parents can help push their kid to be the best they are capable of being, sometimes everyone needs a push in life to get the wheels turning the right direction. Some college students are fortunate enough to get an academic scholarship or specific scholarships. Not all students are that fortunate enough to pay for the college experience. We know that college can be an expensive bill to pay, that is why parents may feel that they should help their child with the debts, but these parents should have the right to know what classes their children are taking because students may begin to not attend class, may be doing poorly, and they should not have to pay for their lack of work unknowing of their success.
Most transformative moments in life can be caused by the smallest of occurrences in life. Often people do not even realize that a pivotal moment in their life is happening. Someone may realize when they are mature enough that there was one special moment during their childhood that ultimately determined their lifelong goal. For others, they probably realized an “aha” moment right when it happened and from then on decided that they knew what they want to accomplish later on. I actually have taken from both sides of the spectrum from realizing that one special transformative moment but also not even knowing that it would end up steering me towards my current career choice.
It’s difficult to pinpoint a specific moment in one’s life in which your life is transformed. We often realize that this moment is so signingagent when looking back on personal experiences and don’t realize it at the time. For me, this moment occurred when I realized that I had taken what I love most for granted. It all started back in 2004 when my family suggested that I get into a sport at a young age.
He also taught me to stay motivated no matter how many times I wanted to give up because of my mistakes. I remember the day like it was yesterday even though it was eighteen years ago. This is one of the proudest moments in my life. It’s a lesson that I’ll never forget. Being taught how to ride a bike for the first time was exciting.
I had people who looked up to me. It meant so much to me that some of my peers saw me as an inspiration. I distinguished myself the most
Surviving in High School “The journey doesn’t start at the beginning, begins at the end.” School is one of the most memorable moments you will experience in your life, are those moments when you find a second family in your life called “classmates”, they start being strangers to classmates, classmates to friends and friends to brothers and sisters, you spent every single day of your life for more or less 2 years of your life that you start to know them more than anybody. I study in Colegio De La Salle in Panama City, Panama. My years in De La Salle are priceless, because it’s the place where I grew up as a student and the most importan as an Human being. During my time in De La Salle I found “Ma Squad” that’s how we call our group back in Panama, where we experience and pass so many things together.
