This report is based on is Copper Sun by Sharon Draper. The main character of the book who throws around all the emotions would be “Amari” or “Myna”, a 15 year old African girl who was pushed out of her home and forced into slavery, as some people in the book called her. The book brings around two emotions that set the tone for the entire book all the way up till the ending. Those two feelings are happiness and the overwhelming feeling of sadness throughout the book. Yes this book does have a lot of sadness throughout and the book. This is why. Sadness formed Copper Sun really. It shaped how you would feel when reading the book. You could be the cruelest person on the planet and still not help but feeling sad for Amari as she goes through
