What makes a woman?
A woman is a female human being. The term woman is typically used to describe female adults, the term girl being used for a female child. A woman can also be described as a person who identifies as a woman, whether they be transgender or intersex. This is the clinical side, but when we look into the question “what makes a woman” it’s more complicated than you would think. We live in a world with so many opinions it’s difficult really sort through and find what actually part of our identity is and what is a social or economic construct perpetuated by society. And if anything what is the “right” way to be a woman. In this essay I am going to be discussing how the role of women has shifted throughout the centuries, what the role of women is in society now and how perception on the role of women are going to effect the next generation of women.
