Meg Murry, is a young girl whose father, a government scientist, has gone missing after working on a mysterious project called a tesseract. She tells us how she manages to save her father with the help of her brother Charles and her friend Calvin, going through many adventures and meeting many magical creatures; through this book full of fantasy and science fiction, entitled “A wrinkle in time” and written by Madeleine L 'Engle.
The story is developed at first in an unnamed village, nevertheless, the children travel to many other planets on their way to find Meg 's father, like Camazotz, a planet of extreme conformity, ruled by a brain called IT, Ixchel, a planet of muted colors, inhabited by tall creatures with tentacles, and Uriel, a planet with extremely tall mountains, inhabited by creatures that resemble centaurs. Of all the characters that appeared on the story, the most important were: Meg, she is mathematically brilliant but not in other subjects, she is also unpopular, and defensive; Calvin, a tall, thin, red-haired 14-year-old high school junior who is not the best in math but has to study to play on the school basketball team, and is one of the popular boys

At the beginning of the story, everything was awful because Meg´s family missed her dad, so her brother Charles decided to go and find him with the help of Calvin and Mrs. W 's. During the story, they went through a lot, with many falls but also progress. They met new creatures like The Happy Medium, a woman who sees through a crystal ball, and Aunt Beast, a strange creature who takes care of Meg on the planet Ixchel. They also had terrible meetings with IT, the brain that dominates the planet of Camazotz and control people, and the man with red yes, the Prime Coordinator on Camazotz; they also saw The Black Thing, the source of evil which Meg´s dad was fighting. At the end, everything was as it was supposed to be, because with their bravery and courage they solved their problem and saved Meg´s
