CW3 Smith performed her duties with unmatched leadership and professional distinction while deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). CW3 Smith superbly executed operations without fail, adhering the Commander Intent ' supporting recurring and emerging requirements. Her presence led to overall success in ASG-KU and detrimental to the mission requirements of the theater. Emma fell into the role of team leader which consisted of assigning tasks, assessing progress, and co-ordinating the team. There was a responsibility to keep the team focused and organised as well as always taking care not to be too controlling. Delegation is vital when working in a team and so, the workload was shared among all members. Collaboration is a major part of teamwork also, therefore, it was important to us that each member contributed both evenly and equally. We distributed the tasks according to the strengths of each member; establishing clear guidelines and also setting out clear expectations in doing so.
SELF DIRECTED TEAMS- Ralph Stayer article focuses on goals, viewpoints, frameworks, actions, and learning, and the performance as the key to organizational success, in addition, to leader 's responsibility to establish the state of creating outstanding performance that serves both members and company interest. Reflection: To "influence what people expect, and you influence how people perform" (Stayer, p. 301). My associates work as a team without a formative managerial structure. We incorporate rules and guidelines for tasks, knowing what each member brings to the table, and when problems arise, we solve them collectively. We thrive on our principles, values and our mission, which defines the purpose, and meaning of our existence.
Colleagues know me as a highly disciplined and good-humored teammate, who can always be trusted to assist them, and someone who can come up with new approaches to our project. My biggest strength is my ability to analyze and evaluate an issue objectively, in order to form a good judgment. I am confident that my critical thinking skills make me a good fit for the Peace Corps. Beyond my academic and professional experience: I have the aspiration to surround myself with those who are committed to improve the living conditions of all. Without a doubt, the Peace Corps offers this experience and atmosphere.
DESCRIBE THE TRUE INTER RELATIONSHIP OF MISSION VISSION AND VALUE SO THAT ANY EMPLOYEE COULD EASILY UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS IS AND HOW IT FUNCTIONS IN THE ORGANIZATION. Organizations survive on their mission, vision and core values; this is because they serve as the pointer for all actions that goes on in the company. They are a major check to all working in the organization and serve as reference that drives the organization to attain its goals and objectives. The mission and vision statements are guided by the core values of the organization. An organization’s mission statement reflects the purpose of its existence and what it seeks to do as it exists.
As a team member I was able to present myself and was able to put my views and ideas. This project helped me to understand myself better and I realised that I can work in any situation with anyone. I will always try to work in similar collaborative approach and try to improvise myself. It was a good learning opportunity for me. I have gained experience and skills from my teammates during the project.
The 2015 posting cycle saw the arrival of new personnel within 81WG. Without direction, CPL Wildman was inspirational in demonstrating solid leadership and providing advice to both her new superiors and subordinates ensuring their transition phase was minimised posing minimal impact to the unit or section objectives further illustrating that her application of job knowledge and communication skills are highly developed and are able to be implemented at all levels. CPL Wildman’s continued display of attention to detail, dedication combined with an in-depth comprehensive trade knowledge has enabled 81WG SCM section to successfully contribute to the overall capability requirements of 81WG. CPL Wildman is an exceedingly influential person who continues to perform and conduct herself as a role model NCO and displays exemplary leadership qualities on a daily basis. All Airmen must incorporate these values into their everyday life. A transformational leader must demonstrate the core values and hold their subordinates, peers, and supervisors to these standards as well. The Air Force core values directly relate to the three elements of flexibility. In order to continuously display the elements that define the core values I must be flexible in a cognitive, emotional, and dispositional manner. Using different strategies will encourage excellence in all we do in my subordinates.
