He was a man that would not back down for anything. He stood up for what he believed in and what he thought the American people wanted. Theodor Roosevelt the 26th president of the United States was neither Democrat or Republican he did not believe in presidential parties because he wanted what was right for the American people as a whole. Teddy was a very active man constantly doing something like reading, hunting or boxing even while serving as president. A very energetic man that would drink a gallon of coffee every day so he was constantly wired.
Many children dream of growing up to be the president one day. Few do, and even fewer are remembered by everyone for what they did while being president. Three of these few are Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. These are some of the greatest and strongest presidents of all time, but Thomas Jefferson was the strongest and smartest president because he was present and played a big part in government before the revolution, he played a huge role in the expedition of Lewis and Clark, and he had a huge impact on almost every aspect of society. Thomas Jefferson played a fairly big role in the American Revolution, and so did George Washington, but Abraham Lincoln wasn 't even alive.

They refuse to be stuck in a rut, and if they find themselves in that position, then they do their damndest to get out of it. These are the kind of people who let life be what they decide it is, and not a bit less. Unlike waiters, doers will always find a way to strive no matter their circumstances.
The book is broken down into thirds. The first third of the book talks in depth and detail about his early life. The second third of the book goes into the presidency stage, elections, office, and the obstacles headed his way. The last part of the book talks about the war and the choices Lincoln had to make. As an overall book it was really descriptive and informative.
Abraham Lincoln was one of America’s greatest presidents .Knowed to the world as the “Great emancipator”, Abraham Lincoln left a legacy behind. As the 16th president Lincoln managed to save the nation, he took the first step towards abolishing slavery, allowed blacks to join the military, gave his world famous Gettysburg speech, and many more. To many people Abraham Lincoln was a hero, to others he was a man with a questionable motive. Through the eyes of Hofstader, Abraham Lincoln was a man who was inconsistent with his beliefs not only as a president but a politician as well. In the first few paragraphs, Hofstadter illustrates Lincoln as being a self made politician that used his “unfortunate upbringings” to further advance his political career.
The lessons we can learn from his story is to never give up no matter how bad a situation is, persevere, and don’t take things for granted and do not feel sorry fro yourself because someone in life has it worse than you. –Josh Cagat 9.
He fought a war in Vietnam that he knew nothing about, all he knew was that, “Certain blood was being shed for uncertain reasons” (38). He realized that he put his life on the line for a war that is surrounded in controversy and questions. Through reading The Things They Carried, it was easy to feel connected to the characters; to feel their sorrow, confusion, and pain. O’Briens ability to make his readers feel as though they are actually there in the war zones with him is a unique ability that not every author possess.
Normally, a hero is humble and refuses to admit how great and impactful he/she has been in his/her life, but not Beowulf. Beowulf has been striving since he was young to build his legacy and glory. Another way in which Beowulf stays constant in his quest to build his name is the fact that Beowulf fights Grendel without any weapons in order to show off to his companions and Hrothgar’s king. When it says, “fastened those claws/ In his fist till they cracked” shows, not only Beowulf’s incredible strength, but also his desire to flaunt to others and to Grendel (Lines 283-284).
Despite being faced with horrible and traumatic situations, Alexander Hamilton did not lose sight of his ambitions and dreams. Much like how great leaders possess self-direction and self-awareness, Hamilton knew what he wanted and was not afraid to go after it. By the age of eleven or twelve Hamilton was already an orphan, his father having abandoned the family and his mother dying of sickness (Biography.com). At the time of his birth, most still considered illegitimacy a stain on one's character.
Overall I would have to say that George Washington was the strongest leader out of the three. Jefferson and Lincoln both had their reasons to be the strongest leaders, but i belive that George washington was the strongest leader because he helped lay the foundation for America. Someone could argue that Lincoln helped create the foundation, but I belive that he set the foundation for racism. George Washington was the strongest leader in my view due to the time he was leading the
