That is equal to seven people dying every two seconds Stress is defined as the non-specific response of the body to the demands placed on it, (Greenberg. J. S.,2011). And it is a common problem that affects every individual at some point in their lives. There are two types of stress, they defined as are eustress and distress. Eustress is the good thing that one has to adapt to that can lead to a stress reaction, it is viewed as the positive type of stress while, distress is the bad thing which one has to adapt to that can lead to a stress reaction, it is viewed as the negative type of stress. The academic performance of a student is very important to a student for the sole purpose of attending university was to attain a diploma if a student fails to acquire one because of bad academic performance it would be devastating. Time management a predictor of academic performance, it involves goal setting and prioritization, control of time available, planning, organizing task, and time control, (Misra & Mckean, 2000). Most students do not have proper time management skills this results in poor performance. Students generally have a tendency to procrastinate completion of coursework and preparation of exams until the very last minute, (Brinthaupt & Shin, 2001). A heavy workload also causes academic stress as some students cannot cope with the demand. This affects the GPA of students. Acquiring a degree costs, a lot of money. Students who enrol into universities usually do not have the necessary funds required to pay for their degree. Some parents fund their child’s studies; this results in a cutback in funds at home as the majority of the funds go to paying for the degree. Other students obtain jobs to lessen the financial strain on their parents. Some students take loans which will have to be paid back in full over a specific period of time. These payback loans usually cost more money that the loan itself and this leaves a majority of graduates in debt. The fourth and final source of stress among university students around the world is environmental stress. There are four general types of environmental stress that affect students they are identified as; cataclysmic events, stressful life events, ambient stressors, and daily hassles. Studying at university is an expensive investment. Tuition fees have a disincentive effect on the students who from the lower and middle-income families. As Bruenig states the statistice of the college students from the poor and rich families “ At age nineteen, only around 20 percent of children from the poorest 2 percent of families in the country attend college. For the richest 2 percent of families, the same number is around 90 percent. ” Also, most of those students want to achieve better lives so they attend the higher education.
Additionally, practical time management skills a lot time in which to complete all my academic tasks within a timely. Time management ability will positively decrease my research, writing, and proofreading processes as I continue in the course. Also, having an ability to connect my hourly work schedule to online assignments and study time increases the effectiveness. As final analysis I believe as a student spending twenty or more hours a week on research activities, fifty-six hours per week sleeping, eight hours eating, and twenty hours involved with leisure activities.
So many successful adults till this day are paying back their college debts. Over the years, some are able to pay back their debts in college and others are not able to and are still struggling, due to having to pay other debts that they may have. In some cases, some people drop out of college just so they will not have to owe so much money, but to drop out for that reason is not good. There are several of ways to stay away from college debt and that is getting scholarships, saving money before going into college, and also attending a community college instead of jumping to a university. College debt is a large amount of money that a college student will have to pay back within a certain amount of years after graduating.
Allocating time for your personal agenda is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It is proven that creating time for yourself will increase your happiness. This will help you function better throughout the day, and will enable a student to do things he/she pleases to do, example read a book. Better time management will allow a student to join clubs or activities of their choosing, and not just join the ones which improve marks. Studies have shown that students with more time on their hands will join a club of their choosing rather than the ones that so the most benefit with the least amount of effort.
Forgiveness of Student Loan Debt On a global scale, there is a large amount of people who are unfortunate in the sense that they are all regrettably faced with the issue of the struggle to pay for a proper education. Seeing as those who struggle are unable to pay on the spot, whether it be because they are financially independent adolescents or their families have low financial income, a majority of said strugglers resort to applying for student loans. This allows them to receive an education for the time being, but it still must be paid for eventually. As a result, every student who takes a loan for schooling will be in debt until everything that has been borrowed is paid off.
In today society, people have placed a high value on education; many believed that with a higher education they could obtain a better job. Many jobs are now requiring employee to have some sort of educational degree. The cost of college has increase 3 times faster than inflation (Baum, Payea 7). Financial aid is defined in the Merriam-Webster as “money that is given or lent to students in order to pay for their education”(“Financial aid”). As a result, many students have to rely on financial aid to pay for their college expense.
The cost of college tuition is an enormous problem now days. For a long time, the subject never got brought up and today things are changing. Students study hard and try their best to get that college acceptance letter from their dream college. Students all around the world are struggling with college debt and trying their hardest to receive those so-called ‘perfect’ grades. However, college tuition is not very affordable and is increasing every year.
I learned in this activity how crucial time management skills will be to my ability to complete this course successfully. The analysis from the questionnaire (Table 2) as well as keeping a record of what activities I focus on for a couple of days, opened my eyes to a few areas of improvement. From the patterns observed I could see that most of my time was taken up by work and commitments as well as procrastination. Not being able to juggle theses successful led to irritation and was unproductive. Research suggests that managing ones emotions, being self-aware and self-motivate can be factors for success for a student (Allan, 2009).
The effect of this is, students will be stressed and annoyed or angry with them, if unable to raise test scores. To sum up, students will feel not needed pressure.

For instance, stress could lead to stress-induced gastrointestinal problems, irritable bowel syndrome, acidity, acid reflux, insomnia, depression, heart disease. Moreover, stress could push the victim toward high risk behaviour such as smoking, drinking, and substance abuse. Stress-related illness led to increase in absenteeism and attrition affecting the profitability of the organizations. (Kumar & Rooprai, 2009) Stress can be triggered by the pressures of everyday responsibilities at work and at home. Traumatic stress, brought on by war, disaster, or a violent attack, can keep your body’s stress levels elevated far longer than is necessary for survival.
In college, students experience a great deal of stress for the first time in their lives. In the past, they experienced little stresses that came with growing up, but now they experience stress from the real world and it can be overwhelming. The stress in college is more serious than any they had experienced prior because it is a time that will define the rest of their lives. For many, this is the first time getting a loan, the first time having to care for themselves, the first time studying for massive exams, and the first time that their decisions will affect the rest of their lives. The main types of stress college students experience are financial stress, parental stress, class stress, social stress, and self-invoked stress.

Immediate physiological response to any type of stressor facilitates survival of the species at its maximum. Despite of normal homeostatic regulatory mechanism, the stress responses can become maladaptive.
