High school has provided me with many opportunities to develop and apply my leadership skills. One of my greatest achievements was becoming the Student Government President after serving as Student Government Vice President as a junior and as Class Vice President in 9th and 10th grades. As President, I have the responsibility of conducting Student Government meetings and planning a variety of activities. Through Student Government, I attended the annual Leadership Conference at SUNY Geneseo twice. I have also been a member of the National Honor Society since 10th grade and currently serve as secretary. I have been a member of the school Math Team and Scholastic Bowl team since becoming a sophomore. Our Math team placed second in our region
My appointment to General McLane’s LINK Crew is an amazing opportunity to gain leadership training and utilize it within my local community. LINK Crew is a faculty-appointed organization that utilizes forty driven juniors and seniors to help transfer students and incoming freshman become orientated to the high school culture and rules. Leaders act as student mentors for new kids by helping them find their classes, teaching them small life-lessons, and introducing them to faculty, teachers, and other new students. Each year, we go through over fifteen hours of training regarding leadership, public speaking, and communication skills in order to present to new students several times a year. We also act as leaders within sports, academic, extracurricular,
One of the most important leadership roles I’ve had is being Editor and Chief of the Yearbook, The Pinnacle, committee at Pikesville High. Being the Editor and Chief requires creativity, communication, collaboration, patience, and responsibility. Prior to becoming the Editor in Chief I was just a part of the committee for two years. My sophomore year was my first year in Yearbook and I was just learning about the in’s and Out’s about how to create a successful yearbook. I learned all the fundamentals like how to interview people and how to write interesting stories called Body Copy’s for any sport, club, or event.
Here I serve on a leadership team charged with not just the duties of being a role model for our Youth Group but also with assisting teachers, leading small groups, and making any new attendees feel welcome. The next of my many
Being a part of the Nation Ford Marching band and allocating a great deal of time to an activity played a large role in my growing leadership capabilities. During the first semester of my sophomore year, I was selected to become a mentor for the freshman class of 2026. After previously participating in drum major workshops to support my interest in becoming a stronger leader, I was able to apply the lessons I learned to a real environment. Having the privilege of being a mentor for my section allowed me to gain more confidence by helping others. I found myself enjoying the long, scorching practices because I was happy to be aiding the growth of others- those that needed the confidence I needed during my first year of marching band.
In my time as a martial artist, I have led students to perfect their skills. Although I could not participate in the student council this year, next year I hope I will have the opportunity. My leadership skills have grown significantly since the start of my education, and they grow every
I am able to take on many leadership roles and do them all with a smile! University of Dayton students seem to have a great school spirit, and I would like to add my ideas to build it even
My freshman year I joined the student government program at my school and I’ve been apart of it ever since. I find student government to be my new soccer. Just like in soccer, every term there is new kids. Some kids walk into the class having never been apart of a leadership class before. In order to prepare
While attending St Joseph’s College I have taken leadership roles within my community and within the classroom. In my community, I have helped organize two teams to participate in the Breast Cancer Awareness walk and
Many posses the commitment to the qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, but how one uses them shows the core of their disposition. For each of these qualities, there are many traits, useful in a leader, and not. Since it is only my second year as a student at Carlsbad High School, there has not been much time of my being distracted from my school work as I try to be as diligent of a student as possible. However, from time to time, I take a break and do things for the community instead. The students that make up the National Honor Society are extremely dedicated in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, and I would be very grateful to be a part of the standards.
I am a natural leader, and have gained leadership skills from the multiple extracurricular activities (such as Jazz Band, Gender Equality Club, Gay Straight Alliance, Model United Nations, and Craft Club) and used them to my advantage to help lead in everyday situations as well as being appointed or reconized as a leader officially. Notably, I am the lead alto saxophone in Jazz Band II and a student leader of the Gay Straight Alliance, and I am applying for more leadership positions for my Junior year; these future possible leadership positions include a position in Secretariat in Model United Nations, section leader in marching band and president in the Gay Straight Alliance, and I feel that I have a respectable chance in these imminent leadership positions. The quality of leadership is very paramount in the decision of whether to accept students into the National Honor Society, and I feel that I fulfill expectations and go beyond in this particular
I have led many club activities such as concession stands, volunteer services, and other community led activities. I have become a great leader to many of these kids as president of our school club, S-Club. I am in very good standing academically and known for my exceptional work ethic. I have matured with each of the trials and events I have encountered that have come my way during my senior year. The skills I have gained over the course of the year will help me towards my main career goal in mind, professional.
There was a time when I can help student understand the concept better during school and it help them get their grades better. These leadership help me impact a positive change to not just me but to people who wanted
The Vice President of the Mills Park Middle School National Junior Honor Society is obligated to uphold a substantial leadership status and accentuate the five pillars of NJHS, amidst both their peers and respective communities. Furthermore, the Vice President ought to assist and collaborate effectively with the selected NJHS President. A President and a Vice President that can unite and take on a challenge together, establish an unbreakable bond that reflects remarkably on the society being led. This strong relationship applies not only to the President, but to the other officers and members of the National Junior Honor Society as well. It is the role of an NJHS officer to represent the voices of the students and form a collective opinion.
From a young age, I learned to be very independent, and this independence has led me to gain leadership skills that have proven valuable in school. As Vice-President of National Honor Society, I have helped take charge of more than a hundred members and helped direct and organize community service events. Such as the Harvest Fall Festival or visiting nursing homes
I have been blessed with many great opportunities in the past three years to serve and increase my leadership skills. I have played soccer for my high school, and was voted Team Captain of the varsity team by my teammates. I absolutely loved growing closer to each one of those girls, and being an example to them both on and off of the field. In high school, I have balanced my membership in eight different clubs.
