Statement of Purpose

Since it’s rightly said that “Accounting is both an art and science”, I aspire to explore and delve into the depth of this subject. I feel that accounting is the lifeline for all business. I studied many articles stating about the ‘Importance of Accountancy in Real World’ and I found out that, “A proper accounting plays a major role in the growth of a business; Failure to properly manage an accounting system can result in financial disaster.”

My journey in accounting began with my grandfather. In the year 1946, my grandfather started his career in the field of accountancy with ₹150 i.e. $2.5 salary per month. His dedication in accountancy and hard work developed his personality and with an extensive experience in this field he successfully managed to build a garment manufacturing industry. He would often regale me with his tales in the course of his business. By the time I had to select a career path for myself, I already was determined to follow where he had led me to.

The subjects that engrossed me utmost were Financial Accounting and Auditing. After my studies, I got the opportunity to work in the Chartered Accountants firm of 14 partners. I got into Accounts and Audits department and got experience of auditing the top company of India. While working, I learnt to apply my theoretical knowledge into practical field. I always enjoyed doing auditing and accounting of the company and learned how to use accounting knowledge in inspecting accounts of
