Adjustment is a process of altering one’s behavior to reach a harmonious relationship with their environment to bring peace. Also a response brought about by some change to balance between the individual and with their environment. Also some of our wishes and attitudes conflict. But we are constantly seeking new ways to satisfy these motives, to readjust in the environment to meet the unsatisfied motives. Moreover we are born in a society, full of conflicts and we need to solve it by our experience. Adjustment is a continuous process. Human beings never being entirely adjusted. Biological and social needs are always ever-changing. A return home would be the easiest way to adjustment. But to stay in schools and fight his battle will continue the maladjustment for a time. Later this maladjustment will prove healthy growth for him.
According to Darwin 1958, in his theory of evolution, those species that adapted successfully to the demands of living are survived and multiplied while other died out. Therefore adaptation and change in oneself according to the external environment is a basic need of survival. The most important of all the institutions that regulate and shape the behavior from the very early stage is the family system. Successful adjustment largely depends on past experience at home.
The individuals and society cannot be separated. The child is born into a social order. If the culture or system of customs into which he is born is conflicting and unhealthy then the child will find himself in a problem. Therefore an individual adjustment, a good environment and social setup is very important. In the changing society, if the society needs modification it must take place along with individual change who can meet demands of their motivation without unhealthy conflict.
One of the theories that can explain this is Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory. This theory states that development reflects the influence of several environmental systems. There are five environmental systems that are identified within the theory. The microsystem is the setting of an individual, the mesosystem involves relationships and connections between the microsystem and contexts, the exosystem includes links between the social setting in which the individual does not have an active role and the immediate context, the macrosystem involves culture, and the chronosystem consists of patterns and transitions during the life course (Santrock
Mass Incarceration America has the highest incarceration rate in the world, outstripping Cuba, Rwanda, Thailand, Costa Rica and Ukraine. The United States is the world’s leader incarceration. There are currently five-thousand prison facility, which in habit over 2 million prisoner. There has been a 500% increase over the past thirty years. These numbers include, federal and state prison, and local jails. .
The amount of mass incarceration in the United States as reached an all time high over the years. Mass Incarceration is the incarceration of a person or race based off of them being different and can be identified as a trend among law enforcements. These tensions have reached a certain extent and has received the attention of American citizens and the nation’s government. The laws of the United States seems fair, however with the enforcement of these laws, specific groups are targeted and abused by them daily.
Your environment plays a big role in the development of you as a
Over the decades, mass incarceration has become an important topic that people want to discuss due to the increasing number of mass incarceration. However, most of the people who are incarceration are people of color. This eventually leads to scholars concluding that there is a relationship between mass incarceration and the legacy of slavery. The reason is that people of color are the individuals who are overrepresented in prison compared to whites. If you think about it, slavery is over and African Americans are no longer mistreated; however, that is not the case as African Americans continue to face oppression from the government and police force.
One day these babies will become the hard core of the human society. Parents expect their children be healthy and get good education. They wish their children can be successful in the future. Most parent are willing to spend much time and money on their children. They buy healthy food and pay for their high-quality education.
Although one’s behavior can be the same as others, especially if they are in the same setting, however those who are in two completely different contexts will experience different reactions, just dependent on exactly where they are. Furthermore, this theory demonstrates that once we have been in a specific setting long enough, then that’s when our behaviors will become consistent over time. On the other hand, individuals might experience particular actions because they arrive at a specific setting, with an already preconceived idea of what to expect causing them to alter their behaviors based on their thoughts about the background. Another reason might be that we adjust our responses because we are unsure of how others might view or accept us being in their environments. Either way, individuals might not be aware of it, but once our surroundings change, then our behaviors is changed as
Her Future Some children around the world grew in different environment with many complex problems .some suffer different family problems such as beatings, raping or trauma or hard labor. Most of these children end up taking bad decision such as suicide, abortion or dropping out of school. All these decision delays country development and destroys children future. Most of children bad decisions are as result of both physical and neglect from their families .
The first time they are introduced to a formal education is in a school building. The school system lays out a foundation that develops a child 's mind, nurtures their gifts and teaches about responsibility. These key factors set up a child to become successful and soar high in life because they have learned the basis to society. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds are forced to abandon their education due to health problems related to malnutrition, or work to provide support for their family. In some third world countries the lack of education is scarce and not valued as much.
However, each child is an individual and his/her physical, emotional, social development is either boosted or restricted by personal factors like genetic health or parentsâ€TM health etc.; and external factors such as the environment they grow up with. All factors have some kind of impact on a growing child and tend to affect all areas of development, not just one. Personal factor Personal factor influence childrenâ€TMs development in many areas. It consist health status, disability, sensory impairment and learning difficulties etc.. Childrenâ€TMs health is really important. Health issues can be genetical which influence how the brain works, e.g. Downâ€TMs syndrome which have impairment of cognitive ability and physical growth.
According to (King, 2008), child development involves in two theories which is nature and nurture. “The term nature refers to an organism’s biological inheritance. The term nurture refers to an organism’s environmental experiences”. The collaboration of nature and nurture, heredity and environment, influences every aspect of mind and behavior in child
Children look to their parent’s guidance and development. Parents are the first example and if the family environment is not healthy, the children could be subjected to a lacking strong physical development. “Effective parenting skills are fundamental to child development” (The Chief Public Health Officer 's Report, 2008). Children learn from their environment, if a child’s parent is not in the picture, children will learn from what surrounds them. For example, Genie did not speak because she was never spoken to as a child.
Men make laws to instill order in a society and prevent chaos in any shape or form. Naturally, laws will always be somewhat unjust because it is impossible to consistently construct laws that directly and equally benefit all members of a society. There will always be a majority that makes the laws and a minority that has to obey the laws. Although laws are usually the standard of morality by which we live by, they must be disobeyed in certain situations. These situations are, but not limited to, an undemocratic formation of aforementioned laws, laws that are inherently unjust according to human law which can be synonymous with God’s law.
The environment becomes very important to a child as those experiences will reflect as they get
There is a worldwide trend in the use of penal imprisonment for serious offenses as capital punishment has been renounced by an increasing number of countries. Harsh punishments include capital punishment, life imprisonment and long-term incarceration. These forms of punishments are usually used against serious crimes that are seen as unethical, such as murder, assault and robbery. Many people believe that harsher punishments are more effective as they deter would-be criminals and ensure justice is served. Opposition towards harsh punishments have argued that harsher punishments does not necessarily increase effectiveness because they do not have a deterrent effect, do not decrease recidivism rates and do not provide rehabilitation.
