When learning in the University, Students join Study groups. An ideal study group should comprise of four to six students. Any more than that becomes a crowd. Study groups environment offers student the chance to engage in more in-depth discussion with peers, sharing information and knowledge about a course collectively enrolled in.I must say that I enjoy group study. Especially when I have the right persons with me but we would quite agree that there are some loopholes attached to it. Depending on the members and atmosphere, study group sometimes can pull a student down. And then I will explain the advantages and disadvantages of study groups and study alone.
These advantages are only present in good study groups. In study groups make attending students can’t procrastinate. If alone, a student might postpone studying until the night before class. When in a study group, however, students have to be present at a specific time, and they are not able to procrastinate. If you struggle with procrastination, a study group might just be the solution for you. And then Study groups can generally learn faster than students study alone. For instance, some part of the textbook that seems completely confusing to you could be quite clear to another student. On those days at school I know that I have to get most of my homework done there because I know that I won’t have enough time when I get home from school to do it before I leave for practice. Also time management has helped me with school work in general. During study hall I know what work I have to do and how much time I need to spend on it so I know that I’ll also have time to do my other work that I may have to do that day.

Introduction Before I joined this class I have less idea about the group dynamic what is means, and what will do. In general, I was think group dynamics is interesting and will improve our self and it is important of future. Know after I finish this subject , the group dynamics was actually interesting subject . Frequent postponement and delaying of work may compromise one’s performance as cognitive process dampen time is limited. Nevertheless, the detrimental effects of procrastination can be hindered by avoiding unrealistic goals through simple techniques such as Best, Worst, Real Exercise and Design Thinking Principles. Strong time management by prioritizing tasks and dividing tasks into smaller portions can also avert procrastination. It is clearly evident that procrastination brings nothing but harm to procrastinators, hence it is crucial for people especially students to recognize the symptoms of procrastination and espouse appropriate initiatives as this destructive behaviour could potentially affect their health and achievement. 1.

Motivation, perception and team work are all vital aspects of a functioning group no matter how big or small. Without these contributions, we cannot achieve the goals. Not only did I learn more about how it is to work in groups, but I also learned something about myself. In the end, the experiences I had, both with the group and individually, was worth it. It prepared me not only in college, but in my future career as well.
The sample only comprised of undergraduate students within the age group of 18-24, and they all belonged to one business school in Karachi. Hence, the results obtained from this study cannot be generalized to a wider population to explain their procrastinating behavior. Future research must incorporate a more representative sample. For this purpose, a cross sectional research can be conducted on undergraduate students and middle aged adults to see whether the patterns of active and passive procrastination are same across different age group or varies with age.
