Participating in things like this allows the student to discover their weakness or strength and even more. The choices we make, make all the difference in our life, giving us opportunities to grow individually and emotionally. Not that everyone may agree, but in a 2011 report on a national survey of 2,142 adults ages 18 and older; 64% say that college is useful in ways that it helped them grow and mature as individuals (Pew). Many students grow differently while being in college like depending on the person, one can grow as a great student by paying attention in class, behaving well, and following school rules; and others can grow physically, mentally, or in any form of way. We may also consider how, most importantly we become more independent when we are attending college.
An article written by Emily Hanford, suggests that the success of getting students to maximizing their potential at college is understanding how each student learns. Teaching methods should be changed and it should be understood that there are constantly a diverse set of learners that make college slightly better. Hanford also states that education is crucial in our rapidly evolving world and that the learning methods that are used aid in the student becoming a better person post-graduation as well, which I wholeheartedly believe in and should be broadened across campuses. Not only did it build her societal skills, but she also improved her writing skills tremendously as well.
Although college can be expensive when looking at the cost of tuition, extreme benefits will come attending the higher education. Attending college would benefit students in the future because it allows them to learn interpersonal skills, there are many jobs that require college degrees, and college graduates make more money. People think college is just for getting an education but there are many things going to college will benefit in including getting to know more people and learning interpersonal skills. Learning interpersonal skills like communication and creating relations is a big part of the workload after college, students say they ranked "interpersonal skills as the most important skill used in their daily lives in a 1994 survey of 11,000 college students.”
Over the last decades we have seen growing acceptance of the belief that every American student should go on to college. Arguments are common based on economics. The question that all students do is if college is the best route for them? And how are their getting prepared for other options? Of course, there are also arguments based on the belief that learning in and of itself is a worthwhile endeavor.

Spencer, I found it rather illuminating to see what research and work in research could mean for a person, especially an undergraduate student. This interview made me realize the amount of work I will have for next semester, from balancing classes with research and managing my time much more efficiently than I currently am. I also enjoy the fact that Dr. Spencer will somewhat know me before I begin his RDC course, which will hopefully mean I will be able to rely on him for help in a more common and professional manner. I chose to attend community college in the United State because of two reasons. First, I am an international student. My purpose is not only school but also new cultural. I do not want I become a person who have high knowledge but without any experiments. I think, “If I choose community college to begin my study in the United State, I will have more time to learn about the habits and customs of the US” and I am happy because I did that decision.
I really like that my school rewarded us for doing well in our classes, but they did it at the end of the year for a grand finally of the school year. As well, they offer a stimulating learning environment in a prime location, which allows for growth inside and outside of the classroom. Specifically, the unique potential for internships and shadowing is extremely attractive, not to mention the evening class structure is perfect for working professionals such as myself. My commitment to my goals manifests itself in my strong desire to attend the Elliott School and earn a Master of Arts degree in the Security Policy Studies program.
Higher percentage of passing scores on state exams will show as well as other important advantages. Working and learning from other students in different economic classes, and getting feedback from them and other peers is a benefit of attending a professional affluent school. Some of the other benefits include being responsible and preparing them for college. Like mentioned before, being responsible is a crucial thing to be when students are in college if they want to succeed, being a part of a professional school is where students will learn and master the ability to be responsible. Not only will they be ready mentally for college, they’ll be ready academically which is something that everyone wants to be when they’re starting college.
