Brunei Darussalam which lies in the Heart of Borneo has been having a high reliance on crude oil for many generations for the economic as well as the main source of energy. Most of the energy that comes from crude oil is mainly used for electricity in Brunei residence, transportation and commercial use. Our main primary resource (which is crude oil) has been contributing 92% to our economic growth and we do not have a secondary or alternative source of energy which puts the nation at a critical state of running out of oil resources, therefore a secondary option may be required for future.
Solar Energy
An ideal first option that may be able to support Brunei Darussalam would be Solar Energy as it is a hot and humid place. Solar energy is the technology used to harness the sun's energy and make it useable. Many people are familiar with so-called photovoltaic cells or solar panels that can be found on things like spacecraft, rooftops, and handheld calculators.
