The big bang theory and its history
The big bang is not a theory, it is a supposition. It is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. Some scholars define it as a set of accepted wisdom which deliberates and expound about how the world arose and where it originated from that is the universe. Research findings in the study of astronomy and physics have openly said that our universe do really

Therefore big bang theory has its weaknesses and according to the first book of the bible which is Genesis it talks about creation that God created the world through his everlasting power and voice, so the story of the big bang theory biblically its wide of the mark since as Christians we all believe in the word of God that he created the heavens and the earth and God is omniscience. God created the earth and the universe and also in the Gospel of John 1 verses 1 it says in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, so basically the big bang theory is not used by the Christians because we believe in what the bible tells us. The other weakness of the theory is that it shows that the sun came earlier than the Earth, but the bible clearly states that God created Earth before the light (sun). Moreover God created light on the first day along with the earth, but the sun was created on the 4th day of creation according to Genesis 1 and this implies that God created a temporary light system until he replaced it with a more permanent light system (sun, moon, stars) on the 4th day. Also scientist can prove that according to John Calvin he stated that a 24 hour day/night cycle does not require sunlight, it only requires the rotation of earth and light originating on or from one
Bowhunting dates back to the Stone Age and can be traced throughout history in many regions around the world including Asia Europe and North America. Native Americans were skilled bowhunters. While their bows and arrows were often crude they overcame the limitations of their equipment with their exceptional ability to stalk within close range of wary prey. The ability to get close to game remains the essence of all bow hunting today.
It is important that we accept that religion is Man’s attempt to answer these questions and because it is an institution reliant upon faith, it is acceptable for one to accept Religion as a precursor for complex ideas, and interpret its fallacies as misunderstandings, however, it is unreasonable for one to justify the rejection of science to prevent controversy with the beliefs of religion. Furthermore, it is unreasonable for one to ever justify the rejection of science for any reason, as this praxis clouds the mind and decreases one’s capacity to comprehend the true nature of the universe and the governing laws to which it
Falk seems to be oblivious of the assumptions used in debates on origins, and of the difference between data and understandings of data. No one has a way to go back in time and study our history, so all ideas must be based upon assumptions. Those assumptions are the foundation of our worldview, which is our central belief about where the world came from and how it became what it is today. The Bible has many verses about the timing of creation and God’s hand in it. God spoke the Universe, heavens, Earth, life, and man into existence (Genesis 1; Psalm 33:6, 9; 148:5; John 1:1-3).
The issue on whether religion and science can work together has been debatable for centuries. Neil DeGrasse Tyson in his article the Perimeter of Ignorance argues that science and religion cannot coexist. In his article, the author explains that religion is all about the Bible and the Bible primarily focuses on the explanation of the origin of the world. He puts forth the point that this concept is far different from what science is and that they do not complement each other. This essay intends to prove that religion and science can work together with no issues.
It may be common knowledge to know that Creationism was a principle theory in the realm of science during this time period. Creationism was taught in our schools and institutions, but during this age that mentality took a pivotal shift. Creationism, which is believe in a supernatural creator came under threat by rising, new theories. Theories such as Darwinism began there moment of birth during this time period. It would be by the writing’s of Charles Darwin that society would come to know of Darwinism.
There have been an innumerable amount of arguments for the existence of God for hundreds of years. Some have become much more popular due to their merit, and their ability to stay relevant through changing times. Two arguments in particular that have been discussed for a very long time are the ontological and cosmological arguments. Each were proposed in the period of the high middle ages by members of the Roman Catholic Church. They each have been used extensively by many since their introduction.
The Big Bang Theory is the theory on how the universe came to exsitance. Scientists believe that 13.7 billion years ago that an explosive expansion occurred causing the universe to begin (May & Howell). Paley’s Design Argument goes against this well known theory, which
Situation: This piece of writing is argumentative based to discuss how scientism is not necessarily the answer to everything but plays a large role in society. In 2012, author Massimo Pigliucci uses the show “The Big Bang Theory” to discuss how science is highly important and necessary for our world to grow, but cannot replace literature, philosophy, and art because each aspect is needed for humans to thrive. An example from the text being that character Howard from the show has an equation to calculate his chances of having sex by figuring out the number of single women who may find him to be attractive (pg. 279). Pigliucci is pointing out that instead of exuding confidence and finding a female to talk to, Howard just uses science to justify why he can or cannot find a female to be with. The same issue is involving Sheldon when he creates “The Friendship Algorithm” in order to make friends (pg. 280).
The traditional claim of all Cosmological Arguments is defined as “something outside the universe is responsible to explain the existence of the universe” (PowerPoint 380). In the “causal argument,” or the First Cause Argument on the cosmological argument, “something” outside of the universe that is supposed to inform us about the existence of the universe is argued to be explained as God. As the first cause argument goes into depth and with the help of Thomas Aquinas, it is easy to see how God is responsible for explaining the existence of the universe around us. Within the first cause argument on the cosmological argument the following premises and conclusions are discussed: Premise 1: There exists things that are caused. Meaning that
A theory is defined as an explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on a compilation of facts that have been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment. Theory is not scientific law, which is a natural phenomenon that has been proven as absolute truth. However, in the public-school setting, evolution, a theory concerning the Earth’s origins, is established as an indisputable fact allowing no room for other theories, specifically creationism, to be taught. These two battling theories uphold two opposing perspectives that attempt to explain the creation and development of life.
There ae sections of the Bible that discuss items such as dinosaurs, hydrology, physics, anthropology, biology and geology (Science and the Bible, 2003). Increasing scientific knowledge has supported the validity of the Bible. The postmodern worldview that does not acknowledge God as the singular source of creation should not be incorporated into a Christian
The Evolutionism or Creationism Debate The evolutionism-reationism debate has been going on for centuries among christians and scientists. However, creationism is said to have more logical proof of their points being the strongest. According to Charles Darwin, Natural selection is the process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. The theory of its action was first fully expounded by Charles Darwin, and it is now regarded as be the main process that brings about evolution.
When incorporating both science and religion to explain the physical, chemical, and biological origins, one must look at the origin of the cosmos, Earth history, the origin of life, and biodiversity. In doing so, one must maintain a balance between science and religion so that one does not supersede the other. Furthermore, by examining both sides, it will establish an answer that is mutually beneficial for both parties. Starting with the origin of the cosmos, Genesis 1:1 states that God created the universe, Earth, day, and night for nothing. While this story is accepted based on faith, science shows a similar event that resulted in the creation of the universe.
From the periods 1500 to 1700, The Scientific Revolution led to heretical ideas against the church. According to the bible, man was considered the pinnacle of creation as well as other creations such as the sun been considered the center of the universe. Copernicus aroused with the creation of the heliocentric theory, stating that the sun was not the center of the universe and Galileo “agreed with his teaching enabling him to understand nature’s phenomena that according to hypothesis, it remained inexplicable.” In addition, this theory challenged the church’s authority and beliefs. Throughout that time, because church was really strict, it decided to go against the theory, because it was contrary to what the church stands for, as well as questioning God.
Strengths The strengths of the creationist timeline is that many of the people involved in the Bible are figures seen in history such as Jesus. Therefore a timeline derived from their existence could be reliable. 3. Weaknesses One of the weaknesses of
