Mashal Mohammad Dr. Baker English 9 30 January 2023 Why The Browns Are Terrible Have you ever wondered who the worst team in the AFC North is? Well, it is the Cleveland Browns they have the worst overall record out of any team and the worst playoff record out of any team in the AFC North. They have an all-time losing record and an all-time losing playoff record. Now lets see what we can maybe see about the Browns. The Browns are the only team in the AFC North that haven't won the division one time since they've been integrated into the AFC North. They always finish 3rd or below in the AFC North and in 2017 they went 0-16 no other team in the division has lost every single game they've played (NFL 2017). The only time they finished 2nd in the division was in 2007 their record was 10-6 and they missed the playoffs (NFL 2007). The Browns hadn't had a playoff win since 2001 until the 2020 season which they ended up losing to the chiefs in the divisional round that year the Chiefs went on to lose in the Superbowl to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Steelers have 6 SuperBowls and the Ravens have 2 and while the Bengals have never won a Superbowl they have appeared in 3 (BrownsSource All-time) and lost all of them which shows that every team except the Browns has had playoff success at some point in the franchise's history. With the exception of the Steelers the browns, franchise has been around the longest in the conference with the Bengals being established in 1967(Browns Source 1967) and the Ravens being established in 1996. This shows the Browns have had the worst playoff success out of any team and nothing to show for the franchise despite being around for the 2nd longest time in their conference while everyone else has something to show for
