The need of the hour is to perfectly screen the various access channels which are needed to overcome for reaching the airports premises. According to the information provided by the Airport Authority of India, the primary duty of providing security cover at the airports in the Indian cities is that of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). CISF is one of the most elite paramilitary forces which are entrusted with the task of securing the most prestigious premises across the nation. In addition to the CISF, there have been various security levels which needed to be surpassed in order to gain an access to the airplanes. The state police forces provide the cover for the most outer perimeter of the airports with a police station being in approximate distance of 200 meters of the airport premises. The distance of the police station usually varies across the nation, though generally they are located in the vicinity of the airports. The second perimeter is that of the CISF which is responsible for the primary security cover for the airports. The CISF is laced with the hi-tech weaponry like laser guns, Kevlar jackets and reinforced armor shields. In addition to the CISF and the state police, there has been a plethora of the crew of the airports staff which is to be organized for the functioning of the airports. The crew members are to be properly checked for their histories in order to be indicted for the service. In some situations, their telephone may be tapped order the provision of threat perception in the time of any adversity. The major deficiency has been the lack of mandatory screening for airport workers. At most airports, the process of identification checks, along with random or targeted screening, are to be used in lieu of the physical screening for airport workers. This apparent lack of checkpoint screening of airport workers in turn creates

Ellis Island is best known for being the gateway for millions of immigrants coming into the United States. It first opened on January 1, 1892 and was running for over 60 years until it closed 1954. Ellis Island was, for a long period of time, considered to be a part of New York. It wasn’t until 1998 that the United States Supreme Court’s decision found that most of the island is in New Jersey. This may be due to the fact that the island was greatly expanded between 1892 and 1934.
One of the agencies that were granted higher power in the name of security was the Transportation Security Agency (TSA). They implemented securities check points within all US ports. Previously families could either bid farewell or greet their love ones at the gate of their flight. Now this TSA security check points prohibit non-flying costumers to be anywhere in the airport that may possibly have access to an aircraft. The TSA also restricted the type and quantities of items the individuals could take in their carryon luggage into the airplane cabins.
While the American government is often liked and respected for its democratic policies and freedoms established there, there are still problems that exist. In terms of civil liberties, the United States of America represents a great system, but it 's when these freedoms are damaged or agreed to secure but make sure of the nation 's safety, that the very ways of thinking the basic truths and rules of freedom that America was founded upon become threatened. Now, in post September 11th violence, Americans around the country find themselves working hard for their freedoms and privacy at the incredibly valuable expense of their own safety. Security systems in airports were placed at high alert after the high-hackings, watching and checking by

Anthem’s Corrective Detention Vs. Modern Day Prisons and Jails When comparing modern day jails to Anthem’s corrective detention, it can be observed that today’s jails and prisons have strikingly more freedom than the Palace of Corrective Detention. Anthem, written by Ayn Rand, is based on a dystopian society, where the character Equality attempts to be an individual, which results him being thrown in jail. The Palace of Corrective Detention deviates from modern day prisons and jails because of the security, living conditions and the treatment of prisoners.
Civil liberties have been affected since the 9/11 events by the Patriot Act. According to N.A. (2003) “The Patriot Act decided to trade away certain civil liberties in exchange for what it hoped would be more security”. As said, the act meanwhile is concerned on providing effective security measures for people in the country, has encroached on freedoms. Like any restrictive law, it has been controversial. For example “many immigrants who had lived in the United States for decades have been rounded up and deported for minor visa violations, not for any connection to terrorism” stated N.A. (2003).
The US went through revolutionary advancements in transportation from 1800 to 1840. The transportation improvements had substantial effects on the economy and also individual development. People could now buy goods that were made in places faraway because access was easier to towns and cities and people’s experiences grew as they were able to be more mobile (309). Commerce was still inadequate even with the National Road funded which improved transportation.

Moving is always hard. It is harder if you are moving from your birthplace to a culturally different country after spending most of your teenage years. I moved from Bangladesh to New York about a year and a half ago and let me tell you, it was not easy. I had to leave the place I grew up in, my friends and relatives and start a new life here in America. Probably the only good part was that at least I was with my family throughout this hardship.
Air Safety” also written back in 2002 by Elisa Ben-Rafael. The article is about the lack of security right after the 9/11 attack, and Elisa felling’s about that nobody has taken this serious. Elisa is saying in her article that the security standards in America compared to her home country, Israel, are very low.
