Deep ecology stated that human population should be reduced. However, Islam in one the hadith by prophet Muhammad stated that “marry those who are loving and fertile, for I will be proud of your great numbers before the other nations.” This hadith clearly assert that human population should be increase from time to time differ with the concept given by deep ecology that requested human population to be decreased. Nevertheless, there is an argument that state the human define in this hadith is human with deep faith towards his religion. The one who will always take great responsibility to environments around him, the one that has empathy both towards other human and nature. If this sort of humans increased in number, environmental pollution is not an issue that will ever happen. It could be said that human population should be reduced only and only if the humans are irresponsible towards the nature. If they took great care of the environment, human population should be increased. In order to support the growth of responsible society towards environment, electronic media must be utilized.
