Statistics show that in India, every year 1.5 million students graduate in the stream of engineering. The number of engineering passed outs are more in India than China or United States. But only 25-30% of engineering graduates are getting jobs. The most worrying fact is that not only the students from lower standard colleges, but also graduates from top colleges like IITs are unemployed. Not only this, number of graduates end up taking jobs in other fields which are not related to their technical qualifications. Only few engineering graduates are fortunate enough to get a job according to their technical skills. It is not astonishing to find engineering graduates working in sales companies.
