CHAPTER 3 METHODOLOGY 3.1 INTRODUCTION The development of a system requires detailed research to produce the best results. Therefore, before starting of the system development process, several things must be studied as the technology used, regular scheduling and timeliness. In addition to the matters set was the methodology and programming languages. Methodology is a method that is used to provide guidance and direction during the system development process. 3.2 Evolutionary Prototyping In this project, the methodology used was an evolutionary prototyping methodology. Evolutionary prototyping is a non-traditional SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and it is essentially an analysis and refinement process, one reworks an existing program and attempts to improve it. (Curran, 2010). This prototype model selected because of the characteristics that allow the user to use the system at the level of its development. The aim of the prototype was used to meet the needs of users at an early stage so that the system can be developed for user testing. Evolutionary prototype has specific phases as a guide in producing useful and quality systems. The phases involved in developing this system includes the planning phase, analysis phase, design phase prototype phase, implementation, evaluation and implementation of the prototype phase.
