You are able to persuade the reader into your world of imagination. True intelligence is born from an accurate understanding of language roots, " Such intelligence does not grow by bloating upon the ephemeral information and misinformation of the public media. It grows by returning again and again to the landmarks of its cultural birthright, the works that have proved worthy of devoted attention" (Berry8).
At the age of ten being raised by minority parents was very difficult for me at the time. At the age of ten I was forced for my English and Spanish vocabulary to be very proficient due to always translating for my parents. At that age learning both languages was annoying, frustrating, and difficult; however that experience shaped me to be a proficient bilingual nurse present and gain benefits by being bilingual. The benefits where the many open job opportunities with the increase pay. This experience also assisted to raise my daughter to speak and write both languages actively although just not the way my parents forced it on me.

Grammar is a system and structure of language. To me grammar is more than just knowing the rules and standards; it is being able to apply them in writing. Growing up I was taught all of the grammar rules through many grammar worksheets. However, my Pedagogical Grammar class gave me a new outlook on how to teach grammar. I will use strategies learned from my peers, research, experience, and my grammar class to explain how I will teach my students grammar.
