One of the largest purchases you may ever make in your life is the purchase of a home. It is a process that requires a lot of patience, planning, and decision making. But, before you begin to pick out paint colors and appliances, you need to figure out if owning a home is the best choice. There are several advanrages to home ownership, but there are disadvantages as well, and in order to see whether owning or renting is beter for you as an individual, you need to ask youself several questions. This will significanlty decrease their savings account, meaning the wedding budget will be greatly reduced as well. They have paid their earnest money, agreed on all contigency items that needed to be addressed. The inspection revealed that there were some old windows that needed replacing as they were badly damaged and expelling heat to the outdoors. The sellers agreed to split the cost of replacing these windows with Amy and Dan. All that was left to do was the title search. The day before the closing, their realtor called them to let them know that the title company had discovered two liens against the home when they executed the title search. These liens were from contractors who had not been paid for work they had done on the home totally approximately $3,000. The sellers were contacted and asked to explain and produced reciepts of payment for the two liens, making the home free and clear of leins and ensuring Amy and Dan could actually close on their new home, much to their relief. After signing the numerous closing documents, they eventually take possession of the home that same day
