This report is A review and comparison of two important Digital Communication methods: 1. CDMA & 2. OFDM The OFDM system scheme is an intriguing and interesting way in mobile communications. Here It’s used to accomplish a high spectral efficiency and to control the frequency selectivity of each channel. CDMA is different where its allows the user/subscribers to use both frequency and time at the one time. OFDM Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) is used to reduce interference and crosstalk. It’s essentially a procedure of digital signal modulation where a single data stream is shared across a few separate narrowband channels at different frequencies. They’re widely used for fixed applications but also mobile applications. Taking a look at the advantages disadvantages of CDMA & OFDM if very necessary when it comes to choosing between which system to use. It’s tough to distinguish and separate them but that’s why comparing them is a great way of picking the correct system. Even though many systems nowadays are moving more towards OFDM system solution rather than the CDMA system. Below are a few advantages and disadvantages of CDMA & OFDM. Both have good advantages as can be seen below but OFDM seems to be the way to go. It’s becoming much easier to generate and demodulate OFDM signals these days due to the increase in processing power.
