Abstract
Even after a great advancement in the Technology we are still using traditional paper ticketing system which requires a lot of human effort and money. In traditional paper ticketing system, there are several limitations like we require more number of staff ,a lot of confusion for passengers regarding fares. In this paper, we eliminated the drawbacks of traditional paper ticketing system by introducing “RFID-BASED SMART PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM” which is automated , convenient and reliable one. Now-a-days most of the accidents are due to over speeding of vehicles. By using this system we can reduce the speed of the vehicle without any manual intervention. We can also trace the location of the bus , just by sending SMS to the bus service number. so,that the passenger need not wait any longer. This system, increases the …show more content…

There are several disadvantages of manual paper ticketing system. More number of staff is required, there is a chance of transferring tickets from one person to another person, sometimes the conductor will not have enough money(change) to give to the passenger. so,that there is a chance of conflicts between passengers and conductor. In order to eliminate the disadvantages of Manual ticketing system , we introduced RFID Based Smart Public Transport System. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) completely eliminates the need of Paper Based Ticketing System.
Suppose You want to travel from point A to point B.and waiting for the bus at A bus stop but the passenger has to wait for the bus without knowing its delay. so, we are introducing a system where the passenger has to send the message to the system which is placed in the bus and the passenger will get reply to the message which tells the location of the bus. so, that the passenger can track the present location of the
